Potrero looks better for the fact we can go either north or south from there.  I'm going to park at Potrero.  Plus I like the name, Pot-rero.  Sounds like Scooby Do saying pot ruh roo.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I'm going to hit a couple of spots around Manresa on my way down, then meet up with you guys around 8 or 9. I think it's probably too far for radio contact if I find a good bite, but if you Pm me with your phone #, I'll call with a report.

Yeah, you can start hiking north (unless you see some unreal structure to the south) and I'll start hiking south.  We can call each other in on a bite.  If you end up closer to my car to the north, I can give you a lift back to your car.  Working it!

Sounds like a plan.  I'll be there when the sun comes up.  Me and the wife got a room in Santa Cruz so I don't have to drive 3 hours in the morning from El Dorado Hills.

Good luck to all of you this weekend. I'd be hitting Manresa Beach since that used to be my go to place back in the day. I used to just throw grubs and get into a lot of good perch there.

Now here in Texas a perch is a frickin' bluegill!!!! :smt013 Still I have gotten a few over a pound so far and have seen larger

I patched the pinhole leak I discovered in my waders last weekend.  Just need a new pack of MORF and I'm good to go.

Weather looks good.

Saturday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming W 5 to 9 kt in the afternoon. Sunny. W swell 3 ft at 11 seconds. Wind waves around 1 ft.

We'll be fishing the falling tide to a low at 11:12AM.

Looks like quite a few people are starting at Moss,  I'll have my son with me, any suggestions on either side (North or South) which may be better for 9year old?  I heard jetty may be good, but want to bee careful.

We'll be on the look-out, but say hello if you see us.

Last weekend, even in the 8 foot swell, the area adjacent to the south jetty was relatively calm.  This is the area that Frank is talking about starting in.

I'll be there around 10...got a baseball game @ 830. But I'll probably go straight to Portrero and try to find ya'll OTB (on the beach). If I had more time, I'd probably opt to fish near the Salinas river mouth, via long walk to the south or Monterey dunes colony to the north. I was planning to bring my son but now grandma is visiting us...so he might stay home instead.
Btw the swell/waves are much bigger than forecasted today!

Mahnong!!!! Saw the end of your post and nearly spit out my lunch!!! way to funny!!!!
Speaking of Pinoy, I found a Flip Food Joint about 15 miles away. Going there in a bit after my chiropractic appointment since it is on the way home. Missing some down home cookin'! I can tolerate BBQ only so much then I need some native food.

Hope you're having fun catching little perch!!!! Miss you all! :smt003

Lunchtime @ Tioga, it was pretty nasty. The bigger sets were well overhead (8-10ft).
