Two more in the pot. One more to make it an even $100.00. This is going to be fun and I predict an NCKA win for the tournment if I may be so bold.

Damn i gotta miss this one guys.

The bsp was 16.5" bushy and round as a football lol

Dude that is  phenomenal.  Really.  Did you check state records?  You might have beat it dude.

I've only seen  One BSP 15-3/4" and we've hosted literally hundreds of serious anglers every year for 9 years now.  never one bigger that that 15 3/4.

Probabaly should post this on hookups page, but We'll be fishing down by Moss starting at Zmudowski State Beach around 8am tomorrow Saturday.  Company welcome.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

OK it’s almost time!
I will be starting late because my son’s baseball game is at 8:30 on Saturday morning. But I still want to get together with our group and fish. So I should be able to meet up and fish around 10.
Where should we go?

Places I would suggest [for barred surfperch off the beach] include Tioga St in Sand City, Marina state beach or Marina dunes, Salinas River state beach via Portrero Rd in Moss or near the Moss Landing jetties, Zmudowski beach in Watsonville, Palm Beach near Pajaro Dunes, Manresa or La Selva beach, or Seacliff beach at Rio Del Mar. That’s going from south to north. These are all free parking beaches except Manresa and parts of Seacliff, depending if you find an open spot.

The easiest beaches to access and fish together (and provide the best chance for a slab BSP) are probably Zmudowski, Moss landing, Salinas river off Portrero, or Tioga St.

Here’s the NOAA forecast for the north-side of MoBay (Manresa area)
Saturday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Sunny. Mixed swell...W 3 ft and ...becoming W 2 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Here’s the NOAA forecast for mid-bay area of MoBay (Marina area)
Saturday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Sunny. Mixed swell...W 5 ft and ...becoming W 4 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Here’s the NOAA forecast for the south-side of MoBay (Seaside area)
Saturday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Sunny. Mixed swell...W 3 to 4 ft and SSW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Here’s the tide & lunar info for Saturday:
2014-03-08  03:32 PST   4.73 feet  High Tide
2014-03-08  06:29 PST   Sunrise
2014-03-08  11:12 PST   0.67 feet  Low Tide
2014-03-08  11:24 PST   Moonrise
2014-03-08  17:57 PST   3.31 feet  High Tide

Not the greatest tide, huh?

Just pick a spot and let's do this.  Bring your radios so we can spread out on the beach and taunt each other with our catches, errr ... I mean share intel.

I got three  NCKA guys with me too.. a couple of other new members and Phillip I believe...we were thinking about moss landing where I ran into Allen as a starting point -working south then back up towards the Jetty--- I have radios for us  ch #69 still if we are on shore?...maybe p.m if the popular spot is picked...would be fun to at least meet and greet and move on...

I think a NCKA hook up would work well. Make it a group effort.
