just curious...anyone ever toss grubs at that dog beach under the golf course in carmel - down ocean ave at the bottom...seems like that would be a great spot wave and drop off wise???

silly question?

Missing all the chatter for a couple days. I stopped by Fisherman's wharehouse this weekend and got a new rig. 8'6" Okuma SST 862M and a Daiwa Procyon 2500 with Berkley Nano line. It was the no sales tax sale.

In for the 10 spot.

The dog beach under the golf course in Carmel is an excellent spot for calico perch. That beach has a pretty consistent bite on the south end if the surfs aren't around. For some reason I don't see many BSP coming out of that area. I heard there was a good striper bite a few weeks ago.

Same parking lot you went to with Bushy?  What time?  I was planning crank o' dawn.

Allen, When you go over the bridge you'll see the firehouse a little bit further on the right. I'll be in my green van probably at the end somewhere. Will be working the Jetty to the research center. ch69

Not sure if my radio still works after sitting for a few years. Text me your cell numbers - 2o9-2oo-o338. Don't want to go much further south than Moss to start and will work my way back up towards SC.

I'll see you guys out there.  I'll be driving a green Toyota Yaris with the kayak rack.  If I am on the beach I usually wear a bright yellow jacket, plus I'll be fly fishing.  I can of stand out because of that.

Off Sandhold Toad to the south.  The parking lot I am targeting is the park just south of Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.  I think Frank was going to target somewhere along the road between here and the Jetty.

Although after looking at the map, I'm half temped to start at the parking lot at the end of Potrero Rd to the south and walk north from there.  With you guys coming the other way, if any of us hits a hit bite, we can call the other in.  It looks to be about a mile or so between the 2 endpoints.
