My 401 is back to Dec 31, 2018 level and we still have one day left this week.
But 56 years of life and provision and not one penny came from said 401.
Everything will be fine☺️

I’m sure that many people were banking on that money now though

My business has definitely been impacted - we saw a big decrease in sales this week and if we have to shut down it will be really hard.  If this goes into the fall/winter things will be very tough, honestly don't even want to think about that now.

But most importantly is my concern over family members who are older and have compromised immune systems.

I'm throwing this out there because I've had a few friends reach out to me lately inquiring.

Some people may find themselves suddenly without income due to this crisis.  I do need temporary help at my business from time to time (wholesale bakery in Marin County).  It's basic, entry level work like washing dishes, helping with production etc. but if you need some extra income during this time feel free to reach out to me and I may be able to help.

The only thing I have scheduled that may be impacted is a Tool concert in Sac at the end of June.
Most everything else for me is spur of the moment.
I foresee a bit more boon-docking to connect with nature rather than the usual campgrounds.
Grocery shopping and pumping gas will be my greatest susceptibility to the virus.
That and hanging around peeps who just got back from Hawaii.  :smt002

Oregon governor just announced closure of all K-12 schools in the state from Monday the 16th through the end of March.

One of the problems with that is that a great number of kids and families rely on the school breakfast and lunch program for free or reduced cost lunches.  I hope that is taken into consideration if and when that is implemented here in California.

Man. This is really a great group of diverse and respectful folks. And top notch front line information. Should read this over google news.
I have been lucky to work from home for last years and don’t have folks over 60 at home. But still will stop the gym and instead do some runs. And of course will be out in kayak as much as I can. Stock market sucks big time. But let’s be honest Wall Street doesn’t need to be saved. It’s the folks loosing their jobs and income. Business is not gonna be back to normal for 1-2 months I bet. Even China hasn’t fully restarted yet. And if they do it might just start all over again. My doctor told me he things it’s already everywhere we just don’t know as no one is tested. My wife takes care of seniors and that is my biggest concern. She never gets sick ever but she might still give it to the seniors she cares for.

My parents are in Germany and my mom has cancer. So this year sucks. Germany seems to be doing well not having people die of this as much. So much the US could learn from other country if this is taken serious. Can’t just let millions die just because they were vulnerable.

Looking forward to Berryessa. Will keep some distance but happy to share my German beer. Let’s not cancel that?

Or spring break was to be next week anyways so they get an extra week. Now double income families will be scrambling for daycare since there kids aren’t in school this week.

Not too thrilled with school closures.  People depend on schools.  Not too thrilled with work-from-home policies and policies around social distancing - hard to do that when all kids are home and restless.  Not too thrilled about the coming recession, or the political blunders seemingly everyday making it worse.  A lot of people are going to suffer, regardless of if they get sick.  I wish everyone on this forum good luck and best wishes during this event.  Little league baseball got cancelled, freeing up weekends from now until June.  So, Im stocking up on bait.  While I like baseball, there is no Covid-19 offshore, and April is right around the corner.  Much love and fish on!  :smt006

My Automotive training class in Stockton just got cancelled for March and April  :smt012 Guess they didn't want to gather 20-30 guys/gals :party :beer2 :groupwave :wav: from all over the western states into one place for a week :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 I think it is one way to stay out of the news. Being the Nexus of an outbreak would be bad for Business....
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
