Key word here is "confirmed".  I have a bad feeling it's a bit more than that.

Looks like I might be on a forced Vacation starting tomorrow?

Restuarants and Bars are considered Gatherings.  and are legally prohibited for over 100. and events and gatherings of 35-100 people.

I'm not sure why they have two numbers.  if it's over 100, my bar is okay.. but if it's 35-100 it's not, and this is enacted tomorrow at midnight.  not a lot of time to figure this out.

Allow less people in at any one time and keep the doors open?

That's the plan right now if it's allowed.  It's hard to tell with the wording in the article, not a lot of people to call about it with any more information.

I’m not from Cali or have any kind of legal advise but as a guy who can decipher  the ever changing Oregon fishing regulations it looks to me like you can’t have more then 100 people in a bar or restaurant. If your planning an “event” gathering of 35-100 you gotta follow the rules farther down. Washing and all that.

Exactly.

I know the internet is already flooded with too many opinions about this, and the last thing we need is yet another “arm chair epidemiologist”...

...But... I expect the number of confirmed cases will absolutely skyrocket as this country gets their collective sh*t together in terms of testing.

I truly hope that the mortality rate is lower than 2.5% when all is said and done, but I just do not have the medical expertise to hazard a guess.

That's how I'm hoping it is, because it seems to be written like that.

Good chance the wife I have it, if not it’s something else but they won’t even test one of us. She was talking to her sister in Duncan Arizona and they all had the same symptoms and were told not to go to the hospital just stay home till they feel better. There coughs lasted about a week. Kinda hard to say how many will get it if they refuse to test the people with flu symptoms. We may just have the common flu or a bad cold.

Now if you get pulled over doing 85 in a 45, as the officer is walking up to your car, roll down the window and cough all over your drivers license and see if you get a bumper administered verbal warning!  :smt044

Considering how this is developing, I’m thinking that’s not really funny. Putting our LE folks at further risk in an already tough job?

It is my personal opinion that there isn’t sufficient testing, but - you’ve had it a few days, your temp isn’t over 100.4, you aren't suffering difficult breathing, maybe it doesn’t warrant a test at this time.

Alternatively, it seems, so far, that it affects folks differently and it’s new, they don’t have the diagnosis down perfect. That’s why everybody are being wiggy.

Relax FX the last part was a joke? We do both have tight chest congestion slight wheezing with normal breathing but we’re both normally in good health and we’re told unless we break I 101+ fever, or have very difficult time breathing from fluid build up to just stay home and stay hydrated, “treat it like the regular flu” I have worked while having a flu before. Maybe that’s all this is, a new strain. I still can’t find any statist for the ones that did die. Age, area, how was there health before they got sick.

A good thing about the coronavirus is that it's gotten me off my butt to get my garden going after many years of procrastinating. LOL. Seed heaven. A great project for me and my wife. We have a little more spare time with our last son leaving this past October. Miss my boys being around the house

Well the CDC messed up my plans, I was supposed to have my ear canal chiseled out due to 32 years of surfing in cold water and my ear canal is 95% closed. My operation was scheduled for Monday and I( got a call from my doctor Friday afternoon saying the surgery was canceled du to new regulations from the CDC. The upside  to not having it yet is I still get to surf and pretend I cant hear my wife.
