DUDE!!! I'm buying that new Trident 13.

Looks like they made my favorite boat better. Molded handles, rails, comfy seat, opened up the tankwell for more usable space, and a new rod pod that hopefully has storage for tackle

Good thing I didn't pull the trigger when hobbie made changes in 2015.  Now if only they can bring back the deeper cupholder and left side paddle holder, then it'd be perfect.

I really like the look of the T15 with the exception of the useless rear hatch. I am a diver in the water and still wouldnt be able to access anything from there. Looks fast though.

New mirage drive is only 7.9 lb I wonder how they cut the weight

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I just weighed my 2016 drive with Turbo fins weighs 7lb 11oz with a short leash rope attached.
7.9lb = 7lb 14.4oz so that appears to be slightly heavier by 3.4oz. That's assuming your 7.9 number is correct.

I think the new reverse feature is great & I'm looking forward to enjoying it OTW when I can get my hands on one of these new 180* mirage drives.

Hey Logan you made me laugh. As soon as I get a new boat I'm immediately looking for the next one too.

Those tridents look sweet. Is it just the picture angle that makes the built in rod holders on the shortest one look offset? They look more sleek than the current t13 almost like a combo between the ultra and the trident versions maybe?

This is definitely the most exciting year of new developments in kayak fishing. I'm kind if surprised. In a good way. I think. But either way, it's refreshing to see this kind of response from the market.

After reading the weights of drives by others I decided to re-weigh mine after saying it weighed 14 pounds. Must have miss read my scale. With turbo fins, solid arms and SS mtb pedals it came in at 8 pounds. I doubt any of the drop in prop drive units are much lighter than 15. Appreciate a correction if I'm wrong.

I can't help myself  :smt044. This is the only hobby I have now after I found out kid #1 is on the way and sold the other toys.

The rod holders do look more offset. I bet you're  right, they're probably somewhere between the ultra and the current.

What I'm most interested to know more info about is the center hatch and the seat. Two places I felt the boat needed an update.

I like the look of the new T-15. Saw one report that it weighs 90 lbs. Is that accurate?

That weight would be on par with my Ultra 4.7
