iCast 2016 rumors - What's comin'?

  Lifetime has something coming down the pike too...  a pedal version.    Plus they're about to release a 12' "Predator style"  model with a 850 price point.

Lifetime has the capabilities to produce see good stuff but they have marketing challenge to overcome from being associates with places like Wal Mart, Home Depot, etc.  Though their relationship with those companies could yield far more sales potential that someone like Hobie selling thru select locations.  The market is changing so the next few years will be exciting to watch.  So much publicity on kayak fishing market now that there's no turning back to the old days.  It's now a hipster thing

Uh.......no one's cutting on anybody amigo. Hobie & Native have been making pedal driven boats for years. The fact that other companies are jumping on the bandwagon now with similar products is definitely good for us as there's a chance the additional competition will at least keep prices in check. The demand must be there for pedal driven boats. But it remains to be seen if anything coming out now will be worthy of real excitement & truly be innovative. & Rob's got his doubts bout that.

     " I'm Hip "        LOL...       After fishing Monterey yesterday using the Mirage Drive thing...  " I'm a Believer" too...   
         Pedaling ,,, who'd a thunk it.     

More rumors - feelfree will be releasing an offshore edition kayak.

definitely innovative with the plug in motor.  Chinese/Thai kayaks move forward, and allow a retrofit option.  Wonder how they figured out the seat adjustment for pedals.  Also curious to see how that pedal/motor thing performs.  crazy styling and out of the box thinking from feel free.

Do reverse without taking the drive out and reinserting 180 degrees.  Thats going to be real nice.

jackson kayak is introducing the mayfly, a true fly fishing kayak, haven't got the pics yet, they are revealing at the booth tomorrow, but sound like a real clean deck layout with out line snaggers, also they are upgrading our best seller the cuda 12. starting to see some things start to pop up today with the booth set ups, a lot of pedal drives.love this time of year, cameron

Notice the FWD cord to the left of the card. Looks like there may be a reverse beside it. Id just like to see the square hatch and removable rubber keel on the new models as standard.
