Do you think that AOTY Suggestions From Members Should be Considered?

You are a good guy Ron, and Carrie is a charm with her singing voice, of course you will play, and so will I and many others with the PIF $$ in the mix, it's feel good all around.

Seriously though, regarding my vote for the SUP inclusion - I first saw our Bro Mooch really enjoying paddling his board, he was also one of the first guys I saw fishing off it. I enjoyed the banter between Art and him about SUPping on the boards. It really hurt me when his board was for sale and I couldn't afford it, and I made a note to try and further the SUP thing to honor his passion.

I have played AOTY since joining NCKA... "Playing" Could I win? Hell ya I could... I could also be homeless due to missed work fishing. Divorced.... Broke.... Scowled at during potlucks....  In it to win it is a long hard road. Luck, $$$, time all figure in. Rules are there.... People are in place to keep cheating, mistakes and OOpsies to a minimum... Putting up a poll after the Jan 1 start to rile the masses seems counter productive. Don't play. Money will not be raised. AOTY will end and you can feel better? I'll still play, money will still be raised. Looking at who, over the years, have received help threw AOTY and the AHULLS sub-group, I'm proud to put my money in, knowing I'm not playing for keeps. Allen, in case everyone forgot, donated the proceedings of AOTY to the PIF and put up a second button to support the site (thank you) I know it is winter. I know....

Ron, I think your a great guy.  But please stop telling me when it's OK and NOT OK to discuss changes to AOTY.  Even if it there wont be any changes this year (give up Tony), there is still merit in discussion!  And it's winter anytime, so this is the BEST time to discuss it.     Comments about PIF really should have nothing to do with AOTY either IMHO.  AOTY funds were not requested by the A-Hulls, they were given to us by PolePole...

Also, I had the same thought about site donations, which is what AOTY fees used to support.  I'm still down to donate to the site!

I was actually referring to the other post yours came after and held the proper amount of sarcasm

Here's my serious suggestion:

Add Al, bmb and novofish to AOTY committee immediately.

Let them make whatever changes they want to rules for 2016 and get them to bsteves to get 2016 AOTY rolling.

Then they can be on committee and see that there are no nefarious backroom deals going on etc. and handle suggestions, controversies etc anyway they wish.

I don't think anything the AOTY committee guys do right now will make anybody happy, so might as well let you guys figure it out.
