There is a legal process, my family did is on my mom's side 4 generations ago, and my dad's 6 generations ago. I am not a fan of breaking the law to get here, but I can see the want to make a better life for yourself and your family.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

True story:
About 15yrs ago, I got deported from Mexico for doing something I shouldn't have been doing.
I'm surprised they don't have the same law in the States...do something wrong, get sent home. I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing. It is what it is.
I warned you about audience participation at the donkey shows. :smt005
:smt044 ok that was a good one!  :smt044

I work in the people business = recruiter. Given this countries current ability to educate and grow technically skilled workers we are doomed if we don't allow/promote/increase the ability to import talent. I do tend to agree being in America and all that it affords is a tremendous privilege, people that abuse that shouldn't be allowed to remain. One could even stretch this argument to less skilled roles (agriculture, general laborers, etc) without immigrants we'd grind to a halt

This is absolute truth, at least for now and many years to come.

I certainly don't blame people for coming here illegally. If could I could go to canada and make 20 times as much money, I'd be up there digging a tunnel right now. It does suck that so many good jobs are lost to illegal immigrants because the government chooses to look the other way.

good jobs like picking tomatoes or watermelon or cherries or after a few years Maybe, just maybe mowing lawns then framing houses when the economy isn't in the shitter.

I am a member of NCKA because of the diversity and that's the #2 reason I love living in CA (#1 is weather of course).  I emigrated from Missouri where close minded self important all the same all the time f@#$ks are the norm.

If you have the balls to get here and want a better life without violence you are welcome around my campfire any time.

I have been called prejudiced by my friends... prejudiced towards entitled self important white folks (seems to be women and rednecks mostly).

Anytime contractors hire illegal aliens, no matter what the heritage is, Is against the law. Plain and simple. They don't lower their hourly rate to give you a break either. These are the real criminals. They exploit cheap wages. They hurt the skilled laborer. Give the honest hard working law abiding people who want to make it in this country a chance. Jail the motherfuckers who reap vast profits from them while hurting the family who was born here.
