It would certainly suck to lose you again, bro.

We'll I guess this thread shows a lot about some people's character. I guess it is OK do do things because others might have done the same, and if you know you didn't fallow the instructions you should just throw it up and hope nobody declines you.
I suppose we could just drag a gill net around and post all the fish than see what doesn't get thrown out, than argue our innocence in hopes of being crowned the greatest angler of all .... LOL!!!
In the first Rockfish Wars, my team mate and I out fishes the first place team, but by my mistake, we ended in second and only 8 points (2 inches) behind first. We only checked in our largest of each species even though we released fish all day.
The point is I could have argued the decision and poss got the decision, but it's about character and integrity.
It's real simple,
Coho are illegal in Ca. Oceans.
Fish need to be photographed live on a measuring device.
Only one entry per fish.
Yes,
We all have made mistakes, a wrong pic, a improper measurement.
There will always be loopholes in rule books.
It's ultimately up to us to govern ourselves and admit fault.
As for Kayak Wars, I'm out.

Well I guess I'm the bad guy.
I am surprised how flexible the KW rules are. Ive had plenty of uncooperative fish that I wasn't able to get a clean photo of before its escape. I just believed that part of the game was documenting a slippery creature without killing it. Its not easy and it was part of the challenge. Clearly I was wrong.
Im not sure why or how my photos were removed from my original post, but I put them back up.
I was hoping that my message was clear and that it wasn't just 1 or 2 questionable entries but a trend and from multiple players.
Those that have been around since the early NCKA years know that I have struggled with the online culture. Im not quite wired right for it but I still enjoy documenting and trying to share some stoke.
I know better than to get involved in any kind of edgy conversations here and had to learn this lesson again.  Ill get back to working on boats and documenting adventures.
As far as KW goes, T-BP is currently discussing as to whether this is something that we are interested in continuing and getting back to our purely recreational roots. Im not sure exactly how I feel about it yet. Im not even sure if I should be involved with the NCKA.

I guess they don't call it Kayak WARS for nothing  :smt005.  The premise sounded intriguing at first but after reading through this thread it doesn't sound fun at all.  Is this usually how Kayak Wars goes?  Or is the stuff in this thread just an anomaly?  Granted I haven't read through the whole thing but most of the posts I've read are hardly inviting for potential newcomers...

Team Baby Daddies is not mired in any controversy.  We are however somewhat mucked into 10th place right now.

LOL Good thread!
I do not have any delusions of winning anything that isn't a raffle so KW is just fun for me.
Funny though I did double post, then tried to log on/in to the forum - then got stuck in a brutal loop of "username or password invalid" commands, after about 30 mins. I gave up - really don't care that much.
If I get DQ'ed for it - oh well.
I just hope I can get out and fish more this season! :smt003

Just let us be NOT DEAD LAST!!!! I don't expect anything from Kayak wars... I'm just playing 'cause I want to. don't even really look past my own teams submissions. In the end it is something i do for me because I find it fun. Eric keep playing! Love to see those SJ bass!!!! At the end of the day, it cost me nothing and to me means little as far as what others do. I got nothing last year and expect the same this year. Just for fun like AOTY. Except that AOTY  $ goes to a good cause. Kayak wars is about the sponsors and advertising. Excell and be seen by them. Who knows you could get a sponsor!!! $$$!!! Or a big group hug... :smt005
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

One thing nice about KW is it keeps track of all your PB catches.

No Chris, Kayak wars is not always like this. Last year was a blast! Its all fun and games untill people start making false accusations! Even if its just some random person I dont know on an internet forum, I dont like being called a cheater. I was just going to ingore all this because I did nothing wrong, but I thought I might be able to help soothe things over a bit. I tried explaining my questionable submissions but I guess this makes me an even worse person and all I get is more people talking about my integrity or lack there of :smt011  Sorry this upset you to the point of quitting Yakhopper.

You are not following the rules Matt. There, you have now been initiated into the Brotherhood of Sandy Vaginas.  :smt001
