I was just teasing, Allen -you are right, of course. I think it's pretty awesome that you ask for the input and are willing to continue workin' and tuning. That's Bad@ss,  Thanks!

Thanks jhfish.  I appreciate the comments.

As for rockfish ... the next time the server crashes and I'm contemplating the "unnecessary change" of plans in my day, I'll keep your thoughts in mind.   :smt006

I suggest that besides the avatar there should be a picture with the in the person's face on the profile. I know we have the section for posting your face but this way it will brings it up without searching.

just an idea.

This may be beyond the scope of NCKA, but a recent classified posting made me think:

Wes (ChumChum) recently posted a WTB Monterey Bay Aquarium tickets.  Kirk (Lilriverman) and others chimed in, some with guest memberships.  I was looking earlier in the summer to go there, but the cost was prohibitive, and I didn't have the insight to ask my NCKA bros.

It would be nice to have something like an NCKA Members Only lending subforum.  I've got guest memberships to several places that go unused most of the year that other NCKA members could use. It would be a great pooled resource that would allow the maximum benefit for such things.

The idea could be expanded to things such as tools, kayaking gear, coupons, etc etc.

It's a good idea.  However, how does one enforce this?  I don't want to create any unnecessary work for the mods.  They'd rather be fishing!

Well, that was one of the thoughts behind the recent discussions on making the Classified members only.  BTW, currently I have it set that everyone can see the classified, but only members with 10 posts or more can post there.  I know that doesn't accomplish what you're asking for here.  Thinking ...

Can you make a testing forum where we can see what our posts will look like before posting to the main board?  That way we can see if the lay-out of pics, vids, emoticons, etc are to our liking and we can see if new devices like tablets and tapatalk work.   Just a suggestion.

You can view what it will look like by hitting the "Preview" button instead of the "Post" button.  At least it work this way though the normal web interface, but not the tapatalk interface.

The avatar  - the ability to click on it and make it bigger.  Trying to tell what people, or their prize catch, etc, look like is difficult. If we could expand it to the size of a thread posting that would be good

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I don't think I have that option.

Exactly, because it looks like polepole's avatar says, "YOU SHOULD KNOW, THE BRONCOS ROCK."
