Not likely unless a solution that isn't so server intensive is made available.  I'm not aware of any solutions that fit this bill.

It can be done.  Is that something you all would really like?

Seems sorta Facebookish but if it shortens the threads it might work.

One thing I would like to see is when you hit reply all on PMs it quotes and makes the response really long. Unless that's a setting I missed
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I can't find a setting to change that.  Sorry.   But then what if you actually wanted to quote it?  I find that there are 2 distinct camps when it comes to quoting on replies ... those who do and those who don't.  Not sure if either is more correct than the other.  So really don't know what to do here other than leave it as is.   :smt002

It takes me to the last post even if I have not viewed that thread at all

I believe this is a Tapatalk feature. When you first start using Tapatalk, it gives you the option of what message is displayed when you click a topic. This WAS an issue for me so I deleted, reinstalled, and picked the correct setting.

I don't use Tapatalk

It may be due to clicking the New button rather than the topic title. To see the beginning of the thread, click the subject title, to see the latest post, click New

I don't believe clicking on the subject title will take you to the first post, unless you're up to date on reading that thread (you don't see a "new" graphic next to it).

BTW, if you view a list of thread using the Show unread or Show replies and then "mark all messages as read", even if you actually read them, when you click on the subject title (oh, there won't be a "new" graphic next to it), it will then take you to the first message and the system believes you've read all the posts in the thread already.

Remember the 90's? When you had to drive your fishing hole to see what was what?

You're doing an awesome job, running this site.
In fact,  I'm so happy and appreciative, it makes me want to hit that donate button on the left.

Thanks.
Happy new year.

I have a suggestion, could we get a kayak fishing related and a non-kayak fishing related section in the classifieds?

That's probably not going to happen.  Not enough traffic flow in the classifieds to justify splitting off new boards.

From some of the things I read, I am guessing that there may be some prepper/survivalist types on this forum. Maybe there would be some interest in an area for related discussions.

Hah!  Every now and then it's good to solicit feedback on how to make it better!

Not that it matters, but I like it the way it is.  I am not a fan of unnecessary change.
