Can you pls make a seperate meesage board for people who wish not to accept people's opinions and intel on experience as to regulation questions that have been asnswered and have their own interpretation of regulations.  :smt003  J.K. Sir !!!!!

Not sure if this is an "upgrade" per se, but it would be nice to have a "Native Watercraft" category under the "Kayaks" section.  I'm researching Native kayaks right now and it appears I have to search through the "Other Kayaks" category to find related posts.

Maybe there's a way to do this I just haven't discovered...is there a way to return to search results from viewing one of the threads returned in the search results?  I end up repeating the search over and over.  Paging back gives an error "Confirm Form Resubmission".

Im not sure about that piscis. But I usually right click and view searched threads in a new tab.  That way I can open multiple at a time and read faster.

When you click the Back button, you will get a page where it says the link has expired. Just click the button to try again, and you will be returned to the search results.

I'd love to see a section regarding 'otw stupidity' or someplace we can list our 'mistakes and lessons learned' so that we can keep a more focused eye on mistakes made on the water, unexpected situations dealt with, etc. - I see a lot of folks posting observations regarding other kayaker's lack of safety, and most importantly the self-admitted stories of things gone wrong and hindsight after the fact etc... I've learned so much from other folks' mistakes & events, etc., would like to be able to narrow it down instead of reading random posts. Could be helpful for the new-comers who don't take the time to read into salt-water preparedness, etc.

OK.  This annoys me too.  So I "fixed" it.  But what happens now is when you go back, you'll likely go back to a cached page.  This affects other parts of the system.  For instance, when viewing unread posts, if you go back after readying a post, it will still appear in the list unless you refresh the page.

Is that any better?  Feedback welcome ...

Initially, a "read" post would still appear in the list. After trying several more times, the "read" post does no longer appears in the list.

Correction: there was never an issue with a post still appearing in the list. I happened to click on two posts where Tamster posted identical replies.

I still see a read post appear if I use the back button after reading it.  This is because it goes back to a cached page.  If I refresh or click the show unread button, it goes away.  This is because the page is reloaded.

There may be some browser settings that causes a behavior different than the above.

If I set the server to not go back to cached pages, then we have the original "problem" of having to "confirm form resubmission" when going back to search results.

Done.  I've move a handful of posts there.  If there are others, I'm sure Ben will let me know.   :smt002

It also appears that the Recent Topics block on the left side doesn't update (remove the "NEW" graphic) when you go back from reading the post you clicked on there.  Again, a refresh solves this "problem".

Augh, making me work!

Do you think we should keep the Cobra section considering they're no longer gonna be selling in the US?  Also, maybe create an Old Town section or make it combined with OK?

Edit:
Looks like you may have moved some OT posts to OK from Other Kayaks (also OK, funny), but maybe the forum name should include it too?  Not sure if everyone knows they're one in the same.

I'm not making you work, your sponsorship is.   :smt002

If I moved OT to OK, I didn't intend too.  Oops!
