I thought it was real too. And it was a total BS move by some local jerkoff. There were so many people on the radio going back & forth that it got way confusing! But I knew it was a hoax when I finally heard Andy FishMaster call out on the radio to say he's at the launch ramp and no tow trucks in sight. After I heard that, I turned down my radio because all the chitchat was getting annoying. 

Sorry I thought it was funny guys, I didn't know the exact details.  I just thought it was just a prank from some NCKA'ers trying to mess with their friends during tourney day. 

After reading the last 3 pages, I realized it was not so funny after all.  Sorry to all those that got messed with.

i launched super late (like damn near 10am) so I knew it was BS.  I called out on the radio to let people know it was a hoax at least 3x, but the b*stard local was squelching me when I came on.  So i said screw it and went out fishing.

He did that to me on Thursday. Easily could have swamped me. Guy was old, like death +10 at least, so I let it go. I think he fishes commercial, he had five shrimp flies on his rig. Might just be confused as to the century, I dunno.

I dunno bro....based on my interactions I'd say at least 90% are hella cool, and there may be a few jerks, but there are a few jerks anywhere you go...

You're right Jim.  I just get pissed when I think about the jerk on the tractor and the dude on the radio.  90% was harsh of me to say. 

Hey - I hear you and appreciate how you feel, Jeff, but I agree with Jim that the vast majority of locals are cool and welcoming to us, and Joseph the tractor launch operator (there are two companies doing it) is a very cool guy.  I'm sorry if I gave the impression that there was a problem on my end regarding any of the tractor launch services.  On the contrary, I'm trying my hardest to keep the best of relations with them and need the club to be seen in that light.  Please send me a PM if you have a specific incident that I may not know about.  Thx.

Agreed, well said.

Nah, no worries.  I said a couple posts ago Jim was right and I was being harsh.  Just me posting while frustrated.  Cant wait till next year dude!
