My friends Greg and Sam were at the bar saturday night and said they saw 2 locals duke it out in the bar. I'm guessing one of them was the guy behind the tow-truck hoax.

And this kind of behavior is why I am sketchy about joining in on the fshing trips,I been a member here for close to a year and haven't fished with or met one of you,I don't like games or tricks,if I load up my yak to go fishing it's simply for me to relax,I got no problems with ppl but I don't play games, especially when your 1 to 2 miles off shore.wether or not it was a joke it's still not cool.

I'm assuming you're referring to how someone screwed with the kayakers by claiming that our cars would be towed from the ramp area.  The person who did that was a local - he had nothing to do with this community.

...and this was over 4 years ago.

You're a bit late on that complaint. But no harm came of it, I think anyways?

I'm wondering did it take you all 3 1/2 months since you joined (I mean a year) to find that? Out of the thousands of posts, thousands of hookups and at least a hundred tourneys, this is the post that you choose to represent NCKA behavior? Maybe you would know better if you actually joined the group. Just sayin

Joining the group - taking part in a fishing hookup, attending an event, etc.

It's unfortunate that the incident of over four years ago caused by someone other than the members here hit a chord with you.

I hope you'll see the camaraderie, helpfulness, family, philanthropy and service components as well in this group. If that's not possible or apparent, maybe the glass is half empty.

my fault guys i linked this thread in the thread i just made about a kayaker getting hit by a PB in trinidad.

Tim:

As goes life, so goes NCKA.  There are lots and lots of good things and occasionally we are reminded that there are people out there that will harsh on a buzz for no good reason.  We have all moved past the whole tow truck radio thing.  I'm also pretty sure that the guy who was driving the power boat in Trinidad a couple days ago and hit a kayaker is the same guy that was mentioned in this thread.  Ive seen him around plenty.

Traildad!  flexing!!!  Sturgeon will do that to you.

Tim cool your jets man.  We have three rules for ncka-

1.  Don't directly attack another member.
2.  Nothing racist.
3.  Re-read #'s 1 and 2.

At least I think that's what they are.  Relax come fishing.

"Stfu dude go do something with your life" is getting sorta close to the line re #1.  Unless, of course, it's said with love. Traildad is actually encouraging you to participate MORE.  Because that what makes us happy and hopefully can make you happier too.

I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way. Judging from his first post he has had problems with groups in the past and is maybe holding others at arms length until we have proved ourselves worthy. Give the guys a chance Tim. As a whole I've never met a nicer bunch of people. We are human so of course you will find the occasional Ahull, I mean Ahole, but that is not a reason to sit on the sidelines. There is a tourney comming up in a couple weeks. Even if you don't sign up, come out for a couple hours, introduce yourself and meet the guys. I promise you, if you give us a chance you will find the group is full of respectful people.

Yeah, you should probably continue to not partake in anything NCKA.

Well if it was your decision that's exactly what I would do,but it's not so deal with it.
