How is it that a printing company could print the LingHead sticker 5years ago without a problem, but now it's an issue? Did printing technology decline with the economy?

There's multiple ways to make a sticker.  The 4" lingheads are black ink laid down on a blank white sticker then coated with a uv inhibitor. These are inexpensive and have never been a problem.

The xlarge window stickers are more like those on everyone's yak.  they are cut from a large vinyl sticker on a plotter.  After the design is cut into it, the excess sticker needs to be removed by hand. This is time consuming and costly with a detailed graphic like the linghead.  When I priced them everyone pointed toward the weeding for the insane price (that and I was requesting a hd marine grade vinyl) .

I also looked at getting them printed, like the 4" lingheads, on a clear backing, which would have been cheaper, but wasn't sure how they'd hold up and didnt have time to test em.  I'm certain I'd be subject to pitchforks if an edge ever rolled or bubbles developed.

You guys got a sweetheart of a deal at $35 and looks like they're holding up well. Craig's got an excellent source.

Given the comment to add the speargun, I used it as an opportunity to fix a few quirks that were bothering me, and add the spear gun.  It would only really "fit" on the bottom.  I tried every way imaginable to get it as part of the "Coat of Arms" look but it is just at maximum business in the middle with the existing elements.  Take a look below and see what you think!

I should mention that this logo is 100% vector as well so it is fully scalable and will not loose any clarity at any size.

Aaron, how about keeping NCKA together in the center with no spacing. The paddle and rod don't need to be shown all the way through. Maybe downsize the fish, upsize the state (with Norcal portion highlighted). Just my $.02. :)

That is some nice work Roughster. I agree with Hojoman. It would be cool to see the ncka all together.

LMAO!!!!!  Too ugly.  :smt002

I love the current logo with the Ling head...maybe we can just get an artist to clean it up/simplify it?
