Dude, Darius you should still go.

I said it before and I'll say it again: you are over estimating the potentially-negative impacts and waay under estimating NCKA's ability to be environmental stewards & responsible anglers.

quit being so sensitive!... sure... fish there everyday, until mother nature smacks you off her playing field...  just don't post pictures... they do more damage then good, and most of its for an ego stroke anyway...

Pat,
We havent met yet your awesome and supportive, I was a bass fisherman, I never had any problem releasing my catch neither nor anyone has to tell me to do so... I was inspired by others having such satisfaction when they let them go and wiggle their tail good bye to you. I heard a comment from a shore fisherman saying "I only see that on TV" after seeing me releasing my catch after photos. I respect people that practice such, I was not gonna keep any catch in respect on Brendan's and locals passions... I just really get frustrated if someone actually under estimating me...Will see if I can make it I think I need to take a deep breath and be ok later thanks again!

Believe me I know how the internet can blow up a spot because I've seen it happen many times, but to think that this one event is going to crumble your fragile little ecosystem is rediculous and all of you guys harping about keeping things quiet are doing more harm than good. That's what you guys don't seem to understand. Your harping over and over is just making more and more folks want to head down and see what's so special.

I'm all for keeping the spotrushers at bay...but you all are going about it the wrong way....and it's pretty weak that you put SC in a position to possibly feel guilty for being a generous host.

Well said... Rockhopper!

Now, let us all just chill and have a good time.  No one is going ruin my weekend fun, not even mother nature.

Stop thinking like that, this isn’t about NCKA if that even means anything. This is a public forum; anyone can read the intel here and post at forums ad infinitum.

Sure, nobody owns these spots, public property, got it. Here’s the rub: When poor decisions are made regarding fishing spots it must be dealt with by locals on a daily basis. But maybe locals deserve no respect.

It boils down to this:

It's always different when the decisions are about your backyard.

And lots of people unaffected by the changes have been making lots of decisions about my backyard lately.

Tell me, how have you felt about the enviro’s decisions in your backyard lately?

Something to think about.

Here is a pic from coastside. Do you know how many members they have? Right, about 10,000 This is a pic from Pt sur posted on coastside. So if you think Pt. Sur is a big secret, well you are wrong. They dont say exactly where they were fishing but its a great pic with some serious fish caught. Apparently not all of them. Its a long drive for most and with weather being a huge factor in launching and fishing I'd have to say decimation of species by kayakers is pretty remote. Especially when coastsiders all know about that area. Darius, have fun and go. Take photos, mark waypoints for your future use.

Go in peace NCKA brothers and sisters and may the spirit of Chef Stefano watch over you and protect you from the white claw and white shark. BTW, after the event, DO post any pictures and stories about the following... Massive surf, white caps, thick fog, poison oak, ankle breaking portages, ticks, wipeouts, tackle loss, white shark sightings, supersize rangers and "pan pan" calls.  :smt005

All joking aside, Pat thanks for organizing even if we don't all agree and have a great time.

Craig, Andy, Pat and Hojoman, Thanks guys I appreciate it, the only thing that really got me is, its the first time the wifey and son going on our NCKA chill, I have by far D best experience with NCKA since Albion, HMB and some hookups, I want my family to feel what I had experience with you guys! I just dont want them to feel unwelcome, anyway of all this dribble here and there I feel really bad on Pat. He his getting put in situation he doesn't deserve; And making him feel guilty of organizing such event! Pat for whatever its worth THANK YOU for organizing this event and for your generosity... I am looking forward seeing you guys there,

Brendan, in respect for your passion on your backyard, I cant promise I wont keep a fish, but, I'm not keep any BIG fish (any reds and cabbie thats 20" or bigger, and lings that over 29") Adam says smaller taste better anyway  :smt044 I will fish both days SAT and SUN but I wont keep my limit I will just need some for my fam thats going with me (wife 10 rocks 2 ling, son 10 rocks 2 cabie) JK :smt005 , Fair? :smt005

Holy moly...There are close to 60 fish there. He must have had that boat packed with anglers. OK now this seems a bit much.
