Yeah, one of my dive buddies is supposed to go on Sat but not 100% certain.
Darius, bring em! My wife + son will be there too.
Ben, if you drove straight there on Friday, you m/b able to do an afternoon session depending on wind. But I don't blame you for making it into a double-dip trip either.

I'm out, too.  :smt010

I can't get Friday off and my old lady can't get Saturday off. We were both looking forward to this, big time.

Sorry SC. Hopefully all goes well and there will be a part two next season.

Yes Mike--we're going to Plaskett Creek campground.

Andy--my buddy Ian is going to pickup a bunch of split oak for firewood.

Cool Pat, I think I am going to drive my subaru instead of my truck,,so I will not have any room to bring firewood as originally planned. What do you think of the 4-6' NW brewing up for the weekend and increasing on Sunday according to the latest NOAA forecast. I have never launched that spot, what's the lowdown on it with that type of swell and direction? Thanks Mike

As far as the weather goes, its going to be horrible and there will be a shore break so big that it will munch you and your kayak if you try and launch through it... just kidding  :smt005 ... actually, it should be pretty doable if ya got decent launch skills, but not totally calm... make sure to stow your gear before heading out and in... the launch at Willow has  a nice pocket between waves just about 50 ft north of the Willow Creek drainage! as far as fishing goes, head straight out in front... if you launch from Mill, paddle north to Lopez pt and fish that kelp bed! :smt004

Good info Brendan. Thanks for that.
The swell looks fine, albiet a little more westerly than normal. But the wind might blow. Guess that just means I'll have to get up early for once....

I will definitely have my eye on the marine conditions---and I'll be scouting the launches on Thurs and Friday.
So amped to get down there right now! Time to start packing all my gear!

Be sure to post pictures. I don't think there's ever such a thing as a bad picture of that coastline.
