been reading some of this dribble here & there. & there's one thing i'd like to mention out of respect for the place...a lot of people fish there & never post pics, something to think about.

I just look forward to fishin' & chillin' with the group.  I also agree that it would be a good idea to avoid posting carnage pics.

I myself is looking forward too, this double dribble thing here and there about posting carnage, isn't thats the reason we made reports MO only? What about our brothers whos going to be there with us in spirit? Aren't they supposed to enjoy it the way we did? What difference does it make when we post Stillwater North/South, BH, ELK, Albion, FR, etc. is it not true that when we go fishing no matter how tired we are we always look forward sharing our adventure? This is what bond us and bring us together, thats why certain restrictions on title of the reports are posted is some discretion, I understand about protecting areas, but, aren't we being selfish? Am I being out of line here? If so, I apologize...

Anybody that can identify the spot from a picture obviously already knows about the spot.

Think about it.

You guys are funny.

Wow, this place must be really something.  If you take pics and don't want to post it, pm it to me so I can see what's like.  I promise I won't show it to anyone else.

All of you guys are kinda funny... the newbies don't get it... and rockhopper doesn't understand how easily the internet can get a spot blown out of proportion... watch out for that big west swell coming in this weekend... hope it doesn't close things out too bad.

Oh yeah, Diarius- the 2000 strong membership on the MO page is a very large brotherhood of folks to share pictures of your secret fishing spot with... if all 2000 of them fished my secret spot in a summer and took a limit of big reds once a year, that grow to that size after 20-30 years, that would be 20,000 red rockfish taken from a 2 square mile area.. that is a substantial impact...  This is  why the local fisherman who have worked hard to learn these dangerous spots don't want pictures of their  hauls posted on this board... this page has gotten BIG and has a huge audience!... Booyakasha is what I gotta say to all this!...   :smt011 :smt012

A few simple questions for you guys.

Has Elk been fished out and devestated after four years of tournys? Lake Mendo? How about Shelter Cove?

Believe me I know how the internet can blow up a spot because I've seen it happen many times, but to think that this one event is going to crumble your fragile little ecosystem is rediculous and all of you guys harping about keeping things quiet are doing more harm than good. That's what you guys don't seem to understand. Your harping over and over is just making more and more folks want to head down and see what's so special.

I'm all for keeping the spotrushers at bay...but you all are going about it the wrong way....and it's pretty weak that you put SC in a position to possibly feel guilty for being a generous host.
