Best wishes for successful surgery and a quick recovery. That's the kayaker's worst nightmare up there with the landlord.

I'm sure the whole NCKA crew will rally to help you in any way you need.

Bad news, surgery was cancelled. I am officially super upset and depressed.  Gotta watch out for my mental health,  I was pretty upbeat before the news.

Really sorry to hear about your injuries but glad you are still with us!

Does "Lawsuit" make you feel any better?  Not kidding.  Please sue the shit out of the negligent boater.

Get well soon.

Hang in there Victor.  We met a few times over the years in parking lots setting up and it was always a pleasure as you are one of the nicest people I've met in this community.

Wish you a speedy recovery

hang in there man, you got lots of love and support here. Read about it on Norcal Salmon Report, FB page. As a decades long kayak fisherman turned boater, I totally got your back. Boater has no excuse

You are in my thoughts as you navigate your healing journey. This breaks my heart you are going through this. I can imagine you will have some extremely difficult days ahead but I am a believer that time heals and eventually you will get better physically and mentally. I hope you are able to stay in good spirits despite the curveballs and obstacles that come your way. I believe humans are tremendously resilient and our bodies have the wisdom to heal. I tell myself this every morning as I'm navigating my own little health issue that is in no way as traumatic as what you are going through. I'm not sure if you're a spiritual person at all, but I've recently started meditating in the morning and start my day by saying 8 positive affirmations. Dr Joe Dispenza has a book called Becoming Supernatural and it might be worth listening to on audible or checking out some of his podcasts and YouTube videos. If this is not your thing, I get it. Just wanted to put it out there because it's helped me get out of a pretty dark place and I think it could be beneficial to your healing process. Hang in there, brother. You got this!

I hope the healing and recovery process goes well with or without surgery! It is definitely hard to be sidelined, especially with such a full body serious injury. A sneaky component of these injuries is definitely the mental aspect. I hope you are able to find some peace in recovering, and find positivity in the small steps back to full health

Hang in there man… I totally agree there is a mental aspect to recovery…  put simply, laugh.  Find things online and in your life  that make you laugh.  Staying positive and laughter has a healing effect on the soul.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.  Fishing tomorrow HMB…. If I catch I’ll post 🤙.  Be well !!!
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
