Thank you all!   And yes, protect yourself and get out of the way.  If its authority, they would understand if you explain it to them, I mean, its not like you are getting away at high speed, right?
Recovery is extra slow and really big bummers sometimes.  There are many good and bad days.  Glad to be on the mend, but the bad days are really really big downers.  There are stretches of days where the pains are non stop and plenty of new pains, but I am hoping that it is sign of progress.  The healthcare systems are not quite helping albeit the people that I am in contact with are very helpful.

But aside from the recovery, there are moments where I cant help the family due to restrictions.  The wife has been a champ and takes over a lot of things that I used to do, no doubt a keeper for sure.  But even then, we both realize that its a long haul recovery. I try to be positive, but facts are not helping.  Lots of missed family moments as well.  But, gotta keep on truckin' rite?
Thank you all for all the notes and support, none of it are wasted, I am absorbing all the positive energy  :smt007   I need them all.

Long haul experiences are tough! You try to keep yourself on the sunny side but now and then you just want to explode with the f-bombs, and unfortunately it’s usually the people closest to you end up growling at

Keep your chin up dude you have a lot of people in your corner

Victor, I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. I’m relatively new to NCKA and kayak fishing. I am glad to see you are alive and posting about your recovery. Much better than the alternative. Based on all the posts of people who know you, you seem like a great guy, I hope I get to meet you one day on the water.

I appreciate your sharing your advice about staying safe on the water and will definitely take your accident to heart and be very wary on try d water for PBS. Take care and be well both physically and mentally. God bless.
