Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I had a great time reaquainting with some old faces and meeting some new ones. My stay was way too short though. I appreciate the hospitality from Zilla and Shuland Nation. Food was off the hook as usual... nothing has changed. Great food... great times... great friends...

Thanks for everything

Freddie

Just got home. Made a few stops on the way. Just wanted to relax, watch the warriors.  Safe travels to everyone who is staying longer.

Looks like eric's raffle trophy trough has found a home on my coffee table when not being used

Edit: this is not the tournament prize trough.  I did not win it [emoji22] .  but i did reward myself with nealy $100 worth of pliny to wash my sorrows, away.  But i did have a lot of fun meeting with a lot of new and familiar faces.  Eric did a great job! Thanks for making my first GS a very memorable weekend.

What a weekend... :smt003 :smt013 :smt044

So I drove more than 1,100 miles and 22 hours this weekend to make it to GSX.  I have to say that even with all the driving, being wet & cold, not having a hot bite, & letting my team mate down by not posting up a fish I would do it all over again. Sorry TxBoy

I want to give a big thanks to Eric S. for all the time and effort you put into making this event so special. Brandi, you're awesome for keeping the Gyotaku going every year building memories that will last a lifetime for all those kids.

I spent a lot of tie chatting with people I've know for a few years now but really hadn't had the chance to talk with them. Zilla bro you are a good man and Jet is lucky to have you in his life bud. DiscoDave is also a cool cat who was fun hanging out and talking to last night.

I'm just starting to play with video again so heres what little i captured

Thanks again Eric for another great Family event . I even got to hang out with Brandi and lent her a black cod to help train her volunteers before the children got there. I even got in on the fun. Printed my cod on my new GSX shirts. Was Fun to be a Kid for a few minutes !   :smt001

Where da ya start. The old friends, the new friends, great eats ! Loved every minute of it . Fishing was just a Bonus. Got some nice blacks and a keeper ling.. 2 days of swell and drift was enough for me to call it a early day. I was content.

Shout out to the Hella Asian Crew for letting me hang with them at there campsite. Was fun talking trash. ( Rib it , rib it )  :smt005 Screw you Antonio !!!   :smt013 :smt005 :smt005 .

Was great to hear so much money was raised for PIF and HOW !!! I donated. Plus I was really trying to win one of those home made gaffs.  :smt007

What a weekend! Such a great time at the cove from the get go. I arrived Thursday and was greeted by Antonio with great tasting grilled shrimp. Windy conditions called for chilling at the campsite with fellow ncka members.

Friday morning I went out early to beat the wind and troll for salmon for nada but was good to get the kayak wet and setup for the following day.

Saturday morning I was mentally ready for the rain and had all the gear to protect my campsite and myself. I was up at 3am to hit the showers and get ready. I had my kokatat hydrus semi dry/ rain coat to use the hood + hat and stayed completely dry except my hands got oh so pruney and told myself if I can't tie a knot I've got to rethink staying out here. I set a goal to hit salmon first and then for lings but after 13 miles on the gps and the clock at 1:15 it just wasn't going to happen.

Congrats to the winners of the tourney and thank you Eric Stockwell for a wonderful event. I had a great time with fellow ncka'ers and look foward to seeing you again!
