Are there trees at the campground? Just in case I need to build a fort to keep my tent dry ish? Lol
Some trees, but not many.  Most of the campsites are exposed to the elements.  Try to bring some extra tarps.

Anticipation is killing me!

Got new break pads, oil change, full tank of gas.

Leaders tied, bait in the brine.

Gear is all organized and ready to load.

Quick trip to the store, load truck, eat dinner, crash early and hit the road around 2am.

Be there in the morning!
Josh

I will be in the Crows Nest Tourney Day keeping a close watch on all of ya and the outer conditions if they worsen with a spotting scope from The Ocean Inn Hotel..

Dangling....you providing an extra layer of safety from the Crows Nest is First Rate buddy...very much appreciated your help last year when my Bro went nordo and trailed me beyond view..

On that note folks.... Public service request if I may....let's try to minimize the spurious radio chatter on Ch69....especially when safety guys are monitoring for MOB or giving wx/swell reports..Kinda of annoying hearing inquiries on min size of cabby or ling...or "wohooo, just landed a 16" black....." It's like bragging you got laid while visiting Mustang Ranch..
Poor radio etiquette reflects negatively on our group.

Just my .02cents

I'll be coming up right after work to hang out and help in any way. I don't have a campsite yet but willing to help share the cost with someone, if not hopefully some sites open! I'll be there Friday evening. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones! Won't be fishing this trip but cheering everyone else on! Ran into some speed bumps with work schedule and prep. But I will be bring some alcohol and chicken wings to grill up :)

I seem to remember about 6 sites that are close to trees, other than that its pretty much an extension of the air strip...

I'll be leaving Danville around 5:00 AM Thursday.  I'll be in my white/blue Roatrek RV, pulling a modified PWC trailer.  Let's all keep a look-out for each other in case of any road emergencies.  My cell is 925 336-0726.  See you at the Cove!

Martin

We should be leaving around the same time. We will keep an eye out for you.
Leaving Benicia around that time too.  Just gonna take it easy and slow.  See you guys on the road.

Sonny is stopping by here Friday morning on the way up. If Bill can't find anyone else going up, maybe we can figure out a rendezvous point to hand off the tray.

Got here late this afternoon, got my room all loaded up, put all the gear in the truck and hit the campground.  Dinner with a fine crew, a few beers, and I have about 15 or so of the tourney field marked off my list.

The wind's blowing pretty hard on the water with major whitecaps the size of driveways, but along shore we had sunshine and even some 70 degree plus offshorish winds for a while.  Campground's filling in, Jack's smiling.  The world is good.  :smt001

Sorry to hear you can't make it Zisco, and I just heard from Str8tfishin that he can't come either.  We'll do our best  to represent, folks.

Daviator - I agree wholeheartedly, and thank you for bringing up the radio etiquette issue.

Let's see, what else was going on?...

Oh yeah, Jim Pool caught a salmon!  :smt007

Ghost and Alfredo went out as well, and they did land some fish.

Weekend forecast looking good.  Drive slowly and safely.  See you soon!
