Forecast is starting to look wet but otherwise decent.  The SE wind is associated with a cold front and is the typical direction of the wind when the low pressure is just north.  THere is a strong secondary wave associated with the front that right now looks to hit right about gametime.  Bring your raingear.  It will be colder than normal too.  The wind and seas shouldn't be too bad though and that forecast keeps improving.

The afternoon could see a thunderstorm but we should all be off the water by then.

Obviously all subject to change but it at least looks active.

Could be wet and cold - bring the proper gear!

Also, if you want to Gyotaku it's a good idea to bring your own shirt as we only have a limited amount of pre-printed Gyo shirts available.

Salmon season started off Eureka yesterday, and even though it was rough two charters and a few private boats went out and limited.

Be ready for salmon.

Be ready for rain.

Be ready for Black on Black!  :smt006

So stoked to be able to attend another Gimme Shelter tourney. Ive made my checklists and am almost ready. I'll be there Thursday night or early friday. I plan on diving and fishing so I've got a lot of gear to pack up. I'll attach a pic of my checklist that gets revised  every so often but maybe it'll be useful to anyone else here. Don't forget your shit! Lol see you at da cove!

Looks like the wind is going to be strong enough to blow a laptop off the top of a truck, please be careful :smt003!

Just a reminder for everyone to check your brakes before heading to Shelter. Was doing my truck oil change yesterday and noticed my pads were wearing thin. I remember the past few trips to shelter getting that burnt brake smell by the time we reached camp.
