I too would be willing to help out with JAOTY in any way I can.  I think it ranks right up there with PIF and HOW for great things to come out of NCKA.  As far as the picture taking rules rules are concerned,  I think that's just scratching the surface to a larger issue.  Since the age limit to JAOTY is 18 yrs, I would suggest having different divisions.  I know this creates more work for everybody, but there is no way a 5yr ,or 7yr old in my case, can compete or should be held to the same rules of a teenager.  I'd like to see at least two divisions.  Maybe 10-18yr olds and a 10 and under division.  Just a suggestion, but I think this would take the pressure of the younger kids and promote the learning process while giving the older kids a more finite set of rules for competition that could be used as a stepping stone to AOTY.

Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching  $.02

It's free and it's for fun. I don't think we need different divisions unless and until it becomes competitive. If a teenager really wants to compete she can join AOTY and show the adults how it's done.

I had this discussion with my tennage son last night. I know he can outfish TONS of adults on this forum... Good point.

Bumping this up, is everything cool w/ 2016 JAOTY?  I mentioned it to my boys and they are super stoked at the idea, I'd be more than happy to help in any way.

Any junior/parent combo that wants to hook up and go catch some fish, I have some great spots for pan fish, bass, and trout. Like most kids, I can't spend much time in the seat, but I will help any and all of you!
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I was thinking the same thing this year, how it would be fun to have a category here or on FB for kids/parent hookups.  Kids have more fun with like minded kids catching fish and afterwards have snacks together.

CenCoast, would you keep me informed.  I will tentatively mark it.  I live in Gilroy, but never fished a lake before.  What setup would I need?

I have spares of everything you & Ethan could possibly need (rods, tackle, etc).
