Great job getting them out spending time with you. It's the best feeling and we are so lucky to have those memories.
Yes James, great memories.  Last summer, I got my 7 year old daughter on a yak to fish (we mainly fished from shore since she was 3) and she caught her 1st yak fish (baby bass).  Took her out in the salt one time, she didn't like jigging due to heavy gear, but enjoyed the visiting seals (I pretended to like them, lol).  I never did enter her even after you reminding me at Albion.  We'll just keep making more memories in 2016.  Thanks for all the work you put in!

James you did an awesome job and am very glad that you started JAOTY/JDOTY 2015.  I'm sorry to see you stepping down. Thanks for all your hard work.

You had mentioned earlier that there may not be enough prizes to give out to all the kids that attend. How many prizes are we short? Do you need additional funds so that we make sure they all come home with something?

Thanks Victor and Tony for stepping up for 2016.

+ me too. My kid caught the smallest fish, please don't mentioned that fact. She dreams big.

Amos I would never do anything like that. I'm so happy she caught a fish you just don't know.

As far as prizes goes I will let
You know soon. I have more stuff coming in but do not have it all accounted for. I do not hav any budget for prizes I have been soliciting them from Mfgr's and small businesses.

The standard for Junior AOTY pictures should be the same  as regular AOTY but pictures not meeting the standard should not be DQ'd, rather given some nominal point value to acknowledge the catch.

Thank you for having JAOTY, I don't compete in AOTY/DOTY, but to make an excuse to the wife to be on the water with my son to capture his moments on the water... EPIC!  We go back and rewatch his videos and have a blast at family reunions.

My son was one that had difficulty closing the fish mouth.  Thank you Jim for allowing it, my son was happy just to see his fish online.  I need to assist him going forward with pics.

I too would be willing to help out with JAOTY in any way I can.  I think it ranks right up there with PIF and HOW for great things to come out of NCKA.  As far as the picture taking rules rules are concerned,  I think that's just scratching the surface to a larger issue.  Since the age limit to JAOTY is 18 yrs, I would suggest having different divisions.  I know this creates more work for everybody, but there is no way a 5yr ,or 7yr old in my case, can compete or should be held to the same rules of a teenager.  I'd like to see at least two divisions.  Maybe 10-18yr olds and a 10 and under division.  Just a suggestion, but I think this would take the pressure of the younger kids and promote the learning process while giving the older kids a more finite set of rules for competition that could be used as a stepping stone to AOTY.

It's free and it's for fun. I don't think we need different divisions unless and until it becomes competitive. If a teenager really wants to compete she can join AOTY and show the adults how it's done.

Seriously glad I'm stepping away.

Let's regulate this like we do the AOTY and make it so much more fun.
