I know this may have been covered before but i just picked up a kayak cart from cck in san carlos.  Im not sure if i want to keep it, i will base the decision on feedback and experience.  Also i got it for half off.

Y

So its similar to the wheeleez, i cannot afford to spend a lot of money right now on wheeleez.  I was using a diy pvc cart, but i learned the hard way at mbk, that i needed to get something with inflatable tires that have a bigger contact surface, if i want to move my kayak across the beach.

Does anyone use this one? Or any of the ones from harmony? Is it durable? Is the wheel material easily punctured? If so, can it be repaired?  I know its inferior to wheeleez, but how does it compare considering the price i paid?

Regular price 119.00
Cck san carlos clearance i got it for 60.00

I was looking at wheeleez, but at 60buck for a this what do you guys think? I definately would not have paid full price.

There are still a few similar ones still if anyone is interested, they are clearing them out at 50% off.

Not a bad price but its going to be those wheeleez minis. I had mini ones before and they're pretty good in the sand but not as good as the big ones. Also use the search. You'll find out a lot of topics like this have been covered.

Yea i did read that thread, but nobody posted any experiences. Also i didn't mean to start something that's been covered, i also wanted to let everyone know about the deal i got from cck just in case someone was looking for one.

These wheels are a plus for me since everything can break down and store into the hull. But nothings certain until i test it out on the beach.   I told the guy if i am to bring it back, its going to be unused.  Im kindda relying on reviews and experiences at this point.

That is basically the same as the Wheeleez mini. Not inferior to the mini, just inferior for the beach compared to the beach wheels.

Search for the wheeleez mini and you'll find your answer. I had them and they did me well going through sand  but not as well as the big wheeleez. I even used the minis and pulled my t13 up the shelter cove road a couple of times.

I have 2 personal experiences with it all with my Hobie Revo 13
1st.  When I was getting started in yak fishing, I borrowed one.  It became obvious that the wheels and frame are too small to support my loaded kayak.  I decided against it and got the Wheelez Beach Cart.  I also use it for my AI for beach launches.

2nd My buddy also with a Revo 13 was also getting started in the sport and bought one.  His first trip was out of HMB.  His Revo was loaded with crab gear.  It almost flipped over because the frame and wheels were too small.  He never used it again.

My advice to you is spend the money on the Wheelez Beach Cart.  You won't regret it.

So i did a little digging around, thanks for the links btw. I had my heart set on the wheeleez, but seeing this deal got me going.  This harmony cart is NOT the same as the wheeleez mini (which i believe they no longer make with the pvc wheels but have updated to the bald polyurethane wheels)  the harmony wheels are bigger than the wheeleez mini pvc by about 30%, and the frame bigger just slightly (and also blue instead of aluminum brush)  i know this because they have 2 of the wheeleez mini (pvc) left at cck (also 50% off) and i opted for the harmony because it was bigger. And better priced.

All that being said, im still torn on whether i should even use it since i cant return it if i do.

Next question: what is the cheapest place to buy wheeleez?

Next question: what is the cheapest place to buy wheeleez?

classifieds used/new, headwaters with ncka discount, rei with 20% off coupon...

you won't regret wheeleez beach cart.  i have both mini and big one.  the width for stability with a loaded yak + big balloon wheel =  :smt004

Just do what I do.. avoid launching from the beach that requires a hike. lol

Im sure what you bought will do..  I have the cheap ones and flatten the tires. Its a bit of a drag though (literally)...

I get it.  Just get what everyone else is using. Its been proven.  Just happens what everyone is using generally cost the most.

Eventually I will have to get some wheelz. But $$$ is tight like a lot of folks that want wheelz.

Wheeleez are great if you routinely drag your kayak across a sandy beach. But if you normally wheel your yak across pavement or hard surfaces, then any cart will work. It sounds like that Harmony cart is fine (especially if the wheels are really 30% larger than the Wheeleez Minis). You won't find another halfway-decent cart for $60...that seems like a good deal to me!
Next time you're at MBK, ask to borrow one of their mega-wheeleez carts. They're usually cool about it.

Just seeing that picture of the rail at SC should be all anyone needs for an answer.
