Went to California Canoe & Kayak in Oakland to purchase a couple of accessories that I couldn't find on Craigslist (LOL!!!) and asked about NCKA Discount while headed to the register. The person helping me said "Nope, no discount... also, what's NCKA?" I was more surprised to hear that he didn't know about NCKA. No discount, sure... understood. But to not know NCKA??? To me is surprising...

The person helping me also asked another employee and she didn't know anything about the discount and group either.

From what i remember, we get a 10% discount, right? Or is my memory going bad? =)

Discount or not, after my last trip to the cck in Rancho, the lack of customer service that I received and treatment that I felt I received, I probably won't go back to them. They acted like they couldn't care less about the cracked rod holders on my wife's Moken that we just bought there a couple weeks before.

They are cracked around the screw holes where they mount to the hull. I noticed it a day or two after we got the boats. Neither holder has even had a rod in them yet. It looks like someone had tightened the flathead screws too tight.

Jeff from the sac cck is the man! Bought a 2014 revo from him yesterday at a price I couldn't resist. Quick email replies and he even reached out to call me. Definitely accommodating to NCKA. Would do business with them any day

Talk to Jeff directly... Let us know how it goes... Always has taken care of us in the past... Did the boat come with rod holders installed? I'm sure they will take care of you. They are trying to get deeper into the fishing kayak market and this would be a bad move on their part...
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I had a great experience the day we bought the boats. It might have just been an off day when I was back out there and mentioned the issues. I told James what happened.

CCK recycled my Outback that I took to them for assistance in a warranty exchange, without even asking me first. :smt013
