2015 AOTY/DOTY suggestions

I'm probably way outta line here...as I haven't discussed this with the committee and I still haven't received access to the AOTY/DOTY committee board...but I would like to see the mouth closed rule amended to say that either the top or bottom jaw must be touching the end of the trough (instead of both touching with mouth fully closed).

Why?  You would end up one some person being super lame by intentionally adding to the length of their fish by manipulating the mouth. Other people would follow.

How about either moth COMPLETELY closed, or both lips touching the board.  This would reduce the number of rejected photos, and prevent people from being lame.

I agree with Adam...

I will post some lame ass pics of mine where one jaw touches but the other doesn't to give you an idea of why I don't think we should go that route.

I think fuzz or another dive buddy described manipiulating pics as like a nuclear arms race...if one player is doing it, the other guys can feel compelled to do it as well or they might be missing out on that 1/4 inch advantage.

Both touching or closed sounds like a possible amendment that I would vote for...

I would like to second the motion to allow lip grippers be used on lings, cabs, & catfish but with the inclusion that the fish be measured belly down on the measuring board. When they are measured belly down it makes no difference in length to have the lip gripper holding the fish thru the side of the mouth.

BRING BACK THE FLOUNDER CATEGORY!

The only suggestion I'll make this entire year, I promise.  Bring back the leaderboard widget!
