We are taking it under consideration. I like the idea of expanding boundaries, since it seems that AOTY is dominated by Sonoma Co. and Sac area anglers. Perhaps expanding boundaries south will give the Monterey based anglers more freshwater opportunities.  Thoughts?

Would you consider expanding the northern border at the same time?

I wouldn't mind throwing a bone to Monterey anglers and giving them Nacimiento Lake.  Sure, as the crow flies it's closer to the CA/Mexico border than it is to the CA/Oregon border, but it'd be cool to get more participants in AOTY outside of Sacramento and Sonoma County.

The next thing we gotta figure out is how to coax more of my Northern brothers to participate.  How about throwing the Northerners a bone by adding Pyramid Lake?  :smt003

Andy, you're talking just the lake right? Not all of SLO county...

Just want to make sure we understand what you guys are asking for...

Just Brookings. May 15-Oct 31 rockfish season in northern management area in CA, but year round in Oregon. It's closer for us Humboldt folk than going south of Pt Arena to get to the longer RCG season.

It would be nice to change the boundary line to north of santa barbra county so all of slo would be added. Then u might see more white sea bass, cambria slam down fish would count, and Doty could get on some serious goats an shallow water reds.

It would add lopez, santa margarita, and naci for fresh lakes. None of which would even compare to clear lake but itd give the southerners more water to fish lmb, spots, panfish, and cats.

It's NorCal. It's south enough. Maybe too much already.
