Looking forward to sailing the new AI. It will be interesting to see if it doesn't submarine as much. I won't be upgrading but it looks like they made some good improvements.

ok I just got my desktop working again, turned the volume way up, & it does sound like he says 80 more lbs of weight between the hull & the amas? I guess what with the extra length of the new longer amas that could be. I'm mostly interested to see what the actual new hull weight will be with the new Revo & the Adventure. I'm definitely going to upgrade but not sure which boat to get next until I see what these new babies are gonna weigh in at.

I don't think there is anywhere near 80 lbs more weight. As I hear it, I think he's saying that it's got 80 lbs more capacity due to the larger volume of the hull and amas. The current AI is rated for 350 lb capacity, so that would be something like 430 lbs. Of course, I could be wrong...

It's not possible that you've got a confirmed price yet!  The "Gods" on this forum have already spoken to the "FACT" that Hobie doesn't release prices until 9-01-14!!  :smt011

That would be great although you know those new amas will definitely weigh more.

RE: the price increase.....i'll bet the dealers already know they're just not supposed to announce yet.

Still cheaper in the long run to fish on a kayak.
