If this is Howard I think I may know you as well. I think we fished together a couple times about ten years ago with Dan Waddell and the Full Speed crew.

Just don`t call me late for Dinner..  Badda Boom Badda Bing..thank you, thank you ..I`m here at the lounge all week two shows nightly, dinner show at 7:30 and the late show at 11 

Don't you mean, "Don't call me late for the pot luck."   

It is kind of weird or awkward at first...meeting new people at events or hookups and introducing yourself for the first time, "Hi I'm Sin Coast. But you can call me Pat" (or Pat Kuhl or PK or Sin Coast or SC or Sin) Then it comes up also replying to people's reports or advice--do you say "Thanks for the report Ebekajebawit" or "Thanks Phil" ? Because it can seem odd addressing someone by their screen name--especially if you don't know which they prefer. But it just feels more normal to call someone by their real name. Which is not necessarily listed by their screen name or profile...thus the dilemma.

With most online fishing sites (or any online forum), people don't inheritantly list their name. There are many reasons for this--the foremost being the threat of identity theft. Another reason is that it provides a certain level of anonymity. Like a buffer. Whereas using or listing your real name promotes a different level of accountability. That's just the nature of the internet.

I can assure you that Howard is 100% legit. And I can see where he's coming from. We are both members of another site that encourages using your real name & contact info. It's listed right below your screen name whenever you post. But it's not open to the entire World Wide Web, members are the only ones who see posts. So there isn't an issue with identity theft etc. It's more of a club than an online fishing forum.
NCKA is a club. The greatest club I belong to. I've seen people do amazing things here and met some of my best friends through NCKA. But the main infrastructure is an online forum--which happens to gets a lot of internet traffic. So it makes sense that people are reluctant to openly provide such info.

Didn't thought of the handle as an identity theft protection but only because Maverick and Iceman were already taken that I had to make up something

We are all heavily armed and have trained attack dogs at home, so no need to have thoughts of coming around the house if We are home or out fishing. It would be a likely fatal error in judgment.

I feel like I've met Howard at some point in the past too. Can't place it but I don't think it was fishing. Come to GS8 bro, look forward to meeting you (again?).

 The funny thing is in the Fire department, they put the letter of your first name in front of your last   Don Anglin = D.Anglin = Danglin…  ouch…   

I pleaded with the Chef to do something but he just said we could use the comedy…  but it is a great avitar name for kayak fishing ...
