Both good suggestions.  Didn't know how to solicit suggestions without signing up. Is it to late to change my name.  Duane pipes or Duane the bath tub I am drowning would work as this is related to water activities.  Well after second thought anything with drowning in it may be insensitive when it comes to kayaking.  Ok.  Overthinking this.  I will stick with DG.

First of all, let me apologize for asking for your real name. I had no idea this site is public and not private. Thanks Pat Kuhl for pointing this out. I can see your concerns. I would have the same concerns with so many identity thefts occurring. I hope to see some of you folks at the San Louis Forebay in a couple more weeks.

Some that fished or met me can attest I'm no stalker, no intention of soliciting work from you but would help if you needed my advise. I just enjoy fishing and hope I fit in as this is very new to me  (Kayaking) since selling my CABO 216. I still have one vessel in Ft. Lauderdale/Key West for fishing game fish like Black and  Yellow Fin Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, King fish, Swordfish, Grouper and Red Snapper. Its a 40 foot center console Donzi that drinks lots of fuel with (3) 300 Suzuki's.

Transfer that boat out to Ft Bragg before Albacore starts up and I will help out with fuel costs.  I will even take it out when you are busy  :smt001.  I have spent the last 20 years in the Modesto Area and now I am bouncing back and forth from the valley to Mendocino area.  We are looking to buy a small farm out on the coast.  Love the weather here.  That 110 degree Modesto summer is just to much for us.  Now anything over 70 feels hot after spending most of the last year on the coast.

When I was growing up, my parents family kept a 40 Grand Banks there at Ft. Bragg. My Dad loved the crabbing and Salmon fishing there. I enjoyed the rocks for Abalone where we air dried them and later ate them once dried. Honestly they are the best if you like jerky texture and salty taste. This place, I"m very fond of and missed going to the Paul Bunyan day festival. My friend still has his 24 foot Skip Jack harbored there so we often come up just for Salmon and crabbing. The cost for delivery is cost prohibited but if I ever decided to bring it home it would be to Pt. Loma, San Diego, Ca.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

All been said. and to summarize.

1) We don't need no stinkin marketers

2) Our screen name represents our personality or multiple personalities (Yakuza) and we don't mind being called by them

3) There are plenty of Allen/Alan's, John/Jon's, Eric's, Kurt/Kirk's out there but there is only one LilRiverMan (LRM)

4) If a Great White decides to chew on your kayak, you don't want the media hounding you, calling family members you haven't told yet and following you home from work. It's happened repeatedly.

5) Ask OTW, when you've fished with us.

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.
