OTW, eating a buffet, in front of a grill, so many great times ... Was just recently thinking and hoping to attend one more Mooch Invitational, or another grillfest at Marlin Park, or anything.  Rest comfortably, my pal, and I'll see you again

Brother Joel, I hope someone reads all these to you... Thanks for being a friend and helping me to feel at home in NCKA. I have seen you serve others the whole time I've known you. thanks and Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Others and I will get to give to you one final pay it forward. Rest easy, as you cross over, don't fear... You will be met by loved ones that have gone on before. We will all catch up to you eventually. Thanks For your example under adversity. Grace and love to you Joel... I'm glad to have counted you as a friend. (so long and thanks for all the fish...)

Not sure what to say.  You are the heartbeat of this group as others have said.  Your smile is warm and welcoming.  Your knowledge of this game has helped a lot of us.   I wish you all the best in the last part of your journey.  I can't wait to fish with you down the line brother…..

Such sad news to hear.
Joel is one of the first members I met when I joined the club and attended NCKA events. Such a great person to be around, someone who makes you feel welcome and will do anything he can for you. The type of person that you can immediately tell is a great soul, and someone that you are blessed to know.

I am thankful for the last 2 years I have know you and for getting the opportunity to meet such a great person. I can only hope that in my time here I can touch as many lives as you have. Take care my friend.

Thank you for all that you have done. I remember when I first met you at Albion, and I'm thankful to have met such a wonderful person, funny, warm, and so welcoming. And also at the crab opener, which was the last time I got to hang with you for a bit.  You are an inspiration. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers brother.

  You have had a huge impact on all of us. The first time we met was at PIF 1 when you were out in the little PB. You have never stopped talking about the moonshine that day.  That was my first NCKA gathering. From that day forward you have changed my life. This is the best group of people I have ever seen or heard of, and you have been a huge part of that from the beginning. Without you in this amazing " gang" I don't know if it ever would have been the same. The friendships I have made in this group will last forever. You will forever be with us and you have left a legacy here.
