 Why'd it change?

I have no skills in the area of design nor the seniority to really have a say in all of this. That said I think from the dozen or so pages in this thread so far I think lots of folks have interest in some different logos.

Not sure it matters but from a marketing standpoint maintaining continuity in your core logo is key so I think the original should remain as the core logo and can be tweaked and updated as needed over the years. However some really cool designs and ideas have come up so what about doing some sort of annual T-shirt print with a design competition sort of thing to select that years shirt/logo.

Just to clarify the current ling logo would represent NCKA and the logo/art selected annually would be just for the shirt. Might get more shirts in rotation and help promote kayak fishing and NCKA. Could be tied to AOTY/DOTY as well possibly.

The lettering is from the Original.  Its modeled after the state flag, and its simple.  Maybe with a legit outline of a kayakfisherman it would look better.  I had the idea earlier today and wanted to throw something down before I forgot.  And yes, I know, I'm awesome with MS Paint.  Anyone wanna help make it look more professional?  Or if you think it totally sucks, thats cool too.

Checking out a bunch of different kayakfishing logos this one caught my eye immediately and stood out above the rest.
Simple, clean, crisp, to the point.

Keep the current logo
Just add color to it!

About my submission. I think the kayakfishermen from the gimmie shelter shirts would be perfect.

I'm a fan of the original design but if its a must to upgrade the logo I would be leaning towards this design
