im  in for a donation event, however join AOTY and that's an easy donation, you don't have to compete just pay the bill and sign up,

leave all the AOTY attitudes out of this discussion it has no bearing on getting money to help allen run the site.

OK.  I've set all bashfulness aside and put up a Paypal link in the left column down below the AOTY signup.  Through this discussion, I come to understand a couple things.

1) Some people prefer the anonymity of a donate button vs. just signing up to AOTY.
2) Some people have an aversion to anything that has the word "of" in it.

How about I make it so you can't log into the site until you make a donation?

Ok, I put it at the top of the left column.  I'll leave it up there for a week, then slowly move it down the column.  Heck, I may even put up a second one just to annoy Glen!

Just checked the NCKA calender and there are NO events scheduled for August!!!! Seems like a perfect time to have a event on the coast somewhere

Wow! So many responses in so short a time. Short of a shark attack thread in may be a record!

The donate button is a start but in the long term we need something like an annual event fundraiser. Maybe any tourney with the NCKA name connected should add $5 to the entry fee to support NCKA.  I think that's fairer than Craigs way too generous Albion offer. Love ya Craig.     That plus an upgraded store + AOTY / DOTY + ? could do it.
