Annual fundraiser event...like a dinner or potluck style @ $20/person. All proceeds go to the site. We do these type of fundraiser events for other clubs I belong to. But they usually do it at a nice restaurant and charge $50/person. They way NCKA rolls/cooks/potlucks, we could maximize our funds by doing it @ a less-expensive venue [like a park or a beach] and we could provide the food, instead of paying somebody to cook for us!
I would totally throw in $20 for a kickass fundraiser event. And I bet there's at least another 40 members who would do the same. That's $800 minus overhead (park or beach reservation). Heck, maybe that's what the PIF event could morph into?

I don't know if someone has already posted an idea of sorts. i don't get enough time to do much of any fresh water fishing and i am sure there are some who cant get the extra time to travel to the ocean as well. if there was maybe a side category for saltwater and maybe one for fresh water and of course the people who have time to fish both category. just a thought. i would most definetly sign up for the saltwater only competition. with family and work constraints, i only have time for saltwater fishing. heck. there was one guy trying to move into my house cause i brought up golf and he could barely afford his kayak. lol :smt044
