I too have a bad case of motion sickness Jed, but hopefully Scolopamine will be able suppress that for a couple of days.

On a different note, is there a shower available on the boat? I'm starting to get excited. Really hard to concentrate at work.

You will be sooo busy catching fish and won't have time for shower!  :smt005

Try the Bonine,,,   far less side effects.       It worked for me,  eventually I got weaned off the drugs completely.      Once  you're at the island,, it's calm as glass.

Bummer you can't make it Sonny,,,  but the good news is you won't be moving east  :smt001

Questions
Should I bring a heavier setup to troll from the boat?
Are fish processed on the boat or after we return to port? And does anybody clean their own fish...if there's a nearby cleaning station? (In which case I'll bring a bunch if gallon ziplocks, fillet knife, etc).

I was going to call them and ask the same question. I'm going to bring my vacuum packer just in case.

quick question, do we need to have the ocean enhancement stamp since we are out past the 3 mile mark, i know i would need it to fish la jolla, but in case i cant do that, and only do the trip, just want to make sure my ducks are in a row by 6pm 6/7/12 :smt001, cameron

yes.  3-mile limit also extends from islands.

Allen

Where can we buy the ocean enhancement stamp?   :smt006

I don't think it's a trolling kind of trip. I imagine the Captain will be making the most efficient  (fuel wise) speed from point A to point B. Polepole would know for sure.  I am bringing some stuff specifically for fishing at night while we are at anchor.
I've been to Fisherman's Landing a few times and didn't notice a fish cleaning station. 2-3 fish processing companies will meet us at the dock. Five Star and Mario's are among the favorite. Filleted etc and vacuum sealed is 75 cent a pound whole fish weight. $1.25 a pound for smoked.  I believe they will keep your frozen processed fish for up to 30 days (for free) if you are staying longer. On the longer trips they will trade your fish for already processed, smoked or canned fish, but you lose a lot. Don't know if that is offered on the short trips with less fish. Don't know if they rent freezer space for whole fish if you are not heading out Monday.

Ocean enhancement stamp?  This differs from my normal license I use for rockfishing ????

We'll be running at night to and from the Island, so no trolling there.  Around the island, I can't imagine we'd be spending time trolling as we'll all want to get on our kayaks.  I know I'm not bringing a troll rod ...

I know this is such short notice, but I'm sorry to inform you guys that for personal reasons, I will not be able to attend this trip; however, I need to see if there is anyone that can carpool with LapuLapu on Thursday. I was his co-pilot for the ride down south.

If there is anyone that can ride shotgun with him, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Glen

Wow. Very tempted. Let me know if it is not too late for me to take Glen's spot on the roster. I can even carpool with LapuLapu if needed.
