I know this is such short notice, but I'm sorry to inform you guys that for personal reasons, I will not be able to attend this trip; however, I need to see if there is anyone that can carpool with LapuLapu on Thursday. I was his co-pilot for the ride down south.

If there is anyone that can ride shotgun with him, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Glen
Hope every thing is alright with you. Will miss you on this trip.
Take care bro.

Wow. Very tempted. Let me know if it is not too late for me to take Glen's spot on the roster. I can even carpool with LapuLapu if needed.

Tim

You want it?  You got it.  PM me your phone number and let's get this straightened out ASAP.

Tim, that would be great if you can carpool with me.  We were planning on leaving Thursday morning but we can change it to Friday morning if you can't leave on Thursday.

And once we cover for Glen, there is still one more open spot, in case anyone else has that last minute itch.

Questions
Should I bring a heavier setup to troll from the boat?
Are fish processed on the boat or after we return to port? And does anybody clean their own fish...if there's a nearby cleaning station? (In which case I'll bring a bunch if gallon ziplocks, fillet knife, etc).

The Islander crew will filet or gill and gut your catch. There's never been a charge on prior mothership trips. They work hard, so take good care of them with tips.

Also, the only Islander trip we trolled on was the 6-day to Cedros. If you make a move at the island, it will probably be done expeditiously to get yaks back in the water soonest.

I can't believe I'm going to say this.

They told my mom they would start loading yaks at 5.

First glipse of NOAA weather for Saturday.  Winds are down.  A bit of south swell.

Quote
Sat: Wind variable less than 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Mixed swell W 2 to 3 ft and S 4 ft.

Sat Night: Wind SW 10 kt in the evening... Becoming variable less than 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Mixed swell W 2 to 3 ft and S 3 ft.

Magic Seaweed shows that south swell to be coming down to 2-4 feet through the weekend.  It's a long period swell, 15-17 seconds.

MS also shows variable winds less than 10 all weekend.

If I received the "good news" by Thursday night and there's still spot available who should I contact?
