Human Nature and mistakes play out on these forums... I know I've made mine....  :smt095

I know Jack well and agree with Rockroach that he is just a bit confused and I'm sure he means no harm...

Also understand Craig being upset...  I know how it is...

Running HOW, I've been the topic of such things, and it sucks...  Jack will come around and see the light and I agree that you deserve an apology...  :smt056
also agree that posting PM's is probably not a good idea, but understand being upset by one....

Keep doing what your doing Craig and hope to catch up with ya soon....   :smt006

and Eric, I think you are doing a Great Job and would not change a thing....

The FW Series does not detract from other events--they are a worthy and welcome addition to the annual lineup of NCKA-related events! It's a great way to spread the gospel of kayak fishing. And with such a diverse type of fishing, from trout to halibut. Please don't feel like they're a burden or scammy or unwanted Eric = we got nothing but respect & admiration for your hard work. Same goes for all the other event organizers = you guys kick ass too. But Craig please don't post my PMs on the forum (-: Not cool buddy.

I think, even with all the events currently scheduled there's still a niche for more creative events.  It would be great to see an event that includes a prize for most garbage collected, or a light line ocean event, or a handline-only event etc, etc.

...or skunks qualify you to win something.  Just embracing my failures.

I first attended to Alameda Wall Tournament last year and since then I have signed up for GS6 ( could not make it) and been to the Lake Berryessa Tournament, AW 2012, Monterey Kayak tournament last year( i was late), signed up for Albion this year, and going to Monterey Pay it Forward this Saturday. I want to go to Silver Lake and Tiki Tournaments. I am thinking about Ocean Cove and next year I am not missing the crabfest.
all of this started by going to AW 2011, I met a few people that were so cool, like Jedmo, ChuckE, etc. willing to share their knowledge and making you feel welcome to the group.
I introduced 3 of my friends to the group and to Kayak fishing and they have had a great time doing it.
I like that there is a variety of tournaments or just Fish and Chill events. the prizes are cool too, getting a bunch or gear for fishing , that is cool. at the same time it is good when the members buy stuff from the sponsors, ( I know I do) if the sponsors do not make a profit they will not longer sponsor the events.
Thanks to all for doing the events possible, I will attend to as many as I can.

WOW interesting stuff guys... Bring back the Love everyone bring it back thats what these events our all about.

The so-cal thing did get out of hand and they are trying to start it back up but its alot of work as some know to put on a tournament. They dont pop up over night and neither do large Fish n Chill events. They take planning and coordination.

Keep at it all that help put these on we all know it takes alot of work.

When did craig start planning for this years Albion thats right I think the day before last years.

WOW, where I have been the last few weeks!..As an Event Host i shouldve replied a lot sooner, my bad! Work is killing me!

Let me just say I agree with so many on this topic and kinda fall in the middle of it when all done said. I started the BERRY Slam with the intentions of Introducing, sharing and educating are brothers here at NCKA about the great Inland Salmon fisheries we have here in CA. After my first real year(2010) with NCKA, I was blown away by the camaraderie, brotherhood, and Love that Ncka consisted of. And within that time, I have made many new friendships and met some really kool peeps. So I felt it was my duty to give it back and in the end me and gary came up with the Salmon Slam. Yea its hard to organize and run these events but in the end, they work themselves out and we all appreciate them. I personally have no intentions of ever pocketing any of the proceeds and always Have and Will give it all back. I could honestly say that I'm so glad and grateful that I came across Ncka because I honestly feel like it made me into a better person. :smt001..

I too can't make all the events but would love to if I can! :smt005 :smt010 So I feel the more the marrier. I too used to fish Socal events(wonews saltwater) and can say that they are not at all anything like NCKA'S. Socal people will be socal people and thats why they fell off! No camaraderie wat so ever and everyone for themselves. We would not allow that to happen up here. Sure, there may come a time when we may need to make some adjustments in our Events/tournaments, but I believe it will be for better if it must come. As long as this Great organization of great people, fishermen, and friends exist, I will be here and forever will try to give it back!

Super kudos to ALL of the Ncka event organizers and Host, we love what you do!...............SO PIF, HERE I COME!
