Sponsors right now are:

California Canoe and Kayak
Norton Brass Rattler (fish grip guys)
NCKA

We are going to be using the HMB yacht club facilities so it will be pretty nice. We will even have a bartender.

FYI I am pretty sure first place will win somewhere between $800 and $1000 in cash!

Sounds like fun!   Hopefully I can figure out the details and make it happen.

Any ideas on a campsite close by.  I know HMB state beach has one, but it appears to be booked up.

Any more room in the parking lot? I don't know this area at all but would sure like to fish this event.

Thanks for the kind offer Mooch.  But it turns out that I have a prior commitment that weekend.  I forgot about it while romancing the idea of doing this trip.  When I got home last night and looked at the family calendar, I realized my mistake.

I'm sure everyone who attends will have a great time.  One thing I really enjoy is quality fishing with swim baits and last year was a paradise for me.  Really really fun fishing.

Jack - I believe it's first come first serve at the parking lot area - I could be wrong - but I'll find out.

Thanks for the offer Ben but we are going to use the HMB Yacht club so I think we have it covered.

I'm in...
Two questions:
1) I assume the barbecue is a pot luck? Do we need to bring barbecues, charcoal, etc.
2) Are speared-fish allowed in the general award pool? If not, are there any awards for spearing?  :smt041

We will bring some stuff for the BBQ (hot dogs) but please bring something if you want to. Everything is appreciated.

A couple of other notes:

DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL!!! This is against the HMB Yacht club rules. There will be a bar and a bartender so you can grab a brew.

We have a lot more great raffle prizes. Outdoor Pro shop donated some gift certificates (Thanks Chris!) and Tote is donating a pair of RoRows. We might have a few more prizes coming in this week.

As of now the 1st place prize is $660 and I expect a bunch of people to pay the day of.
