Rich... if you wanna spear a great big halibut or ling and hang it on my fish hook from below, I won't object.
Actually I'll be checking your hook from underwater every so often to see if anything good is considering a nibble. Then... THWACK! :smt002

Where are people staying?

I haven't spent much time in HMB area.  Can anyone recommend a motel.  Would like to camp but with the wife along, but not fishing, I am already loosing WAF.  If she has a warm bed and TV, I just may survive the weekend...if I catch something!

JIm - there's a motel across the street from Princeton Harbor...there's also a couple (about a mile or two) South of the Harbor - right next to Ono Hawaiian Grill.

I'll see if I can get some names for ya.

this might help -

The State Campground in HMB is real 1st class, you can even rent horses.

I just checked these links...Campground has nothing available and the Days Inn or Comfort Inn are $170 per night.  Ritz is also available for "over $300."    :smt012

The wife got us a room for 2 nights across from the harbor. I think it's the Harbor View Inn in el granada.
We've stayed there before. Not the Ritz, but it's close and has a nice view of the hwy and harbor.

I know it is last minute but... does anyone have ab extra kayak they could rent out for the day to my friend. He just got on the water for the first time last week and he's hooked. We are thinking of renting one from Aquan, in San Carlos but it is $50 for the day, not including wet suit, pfd... Any help would be much appreciated.

Mooch,
YOU ARE THE MAN. I'm still new to the site and not sure how to check my PM box. But when I find out I'll call and talk to you. I have to step out for a few hours. Would it be too late to call around 8:30/9:00. Thanks again.
