I took a look at swellinfo.com today, looks like surfs up and the wind is gonna be blowing.  Probably a terrible idea if you want to go out at midnight.  I'm not going out at night unless its FAC.  On opening day, I'll fight the wind for some opening day crab though.
Last year we were able to get parking spots near eachother, but the lot did get pretty full.  I think as long as we get there somewhat early we will be able to do the same this year.  I'm pumped!

Forecast will vary depending on where you crab and the swell direction.  West will pump all the way to shore, NW will generally get knocked down by the point and jetty then fill back in alot smaller as wraps down through there.  If you tuck in around the jetty the swell will roll but still doable....wind is always a wildcard.  I'd make the call on gameday.

+1

Wind is usually the deal breaker, when the forecasts are different sometimes you just need to go and see for yourself. This was last Sat at PP at around 1:00, note the flag pole, dead calm. NOAA said around 12-15 knots. I'm hoping for a window at first light long enough to get a limit.

Drove by HMB yesterday. Lot's of commercial crab traps at the main parking lot. If you want to car camp in a flat spot, I suggest you get there as early as you can. See u guys Friday.
