Bonfire sounds good maybe after the beers on clam beach or just skip the $4 beer and just drink them on the beach with the fire.
Any one camping that night.

Darius and I were planning to camp out on the beach if the weather permits and if other kayak anglers are doing the same (safety reason, don't want to be the only one doing it).  Reasons I'd like to camp out there is cuz it's cheaper and no drinking/driving.

Has anyone camp out on that beach before?

NWS' first forecast for tournee day:  .SAT...N WIND 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. NW SWELL 10 FT.

I love the 5-10 knots, but the 10' swell kinda sux.  Hopefully the wind forecast will materialize but the swell forecast will go down...   :smt003

I will say though - we WILL be fishing hot and heavy if this forecast comes true.  10 feet isn't bad with low wind in Trinidad, but we might not go out around the Head too far...

Can't wait.   :smt004

I will ride those hills to my honey holes.  Big swells means you dont have to jig it up or down, just let the swells do the works.  I made me a slurp gun to get some good bait on this weeks minus low tides.   :smt001

Fasten your seatbelt, Mike.   :smt003

Darius - Mine's National Weather Service link for Pt. St. George to Cape Mendocino out 10 miles.  It's general, and I like yours better.  I've not used those very site specific forecasts much because I always want to know worst case scenario parameters for the entire area I'll be in - if that's possible.  To hear 10' swell potential I know I likely won't be in 10' swells near shore, but I might.  Any way you slice it right now, it looks like the conditions are very likely to be good for fishing, but epic or even really flat don't look probable.  Should be a blast.   :smt001
