Good news:  Stormsurf changed up a bit and late Friday the 28th view isn't looking too bad...

More updates as they're available.

I launched at Trinidad beach at 9:00 to glassy fac conditions.  I paddled out to where I caught my AOTY halibut and was there by 11:00.  Still fac, I rigged up my halibut rod with Zaks Wally Whale double drop with 15/0 circle hooks with a salmon belly on one and a fresh tuna belly on the other.  I sent it down, then rigged up my sandab rig with squid.   I immediately began pulling up sanddabs and a couple of sand soles.  After a while I checked the halibut rod and replaced the salmon belly with a live sanddab.  No love from a halibut for this trip.  At 12:00 the wind began to blow.  By 1:00 it was starting to whitecap so I pulled the plug and started to paddled in.  I ended up coming in south of pilot rock because the north wind blew me way south.  It was the hardest and longest paddle in for me to date.  4.5 hours of hard paddling.

Friday night at 6pm we are going to have a Pre-Tournament meeting at Pacific Outfitters in Eureka. We will check in, get your little gift bags, go over all the tournament rules and answer any questions anyone may have. After that we could all get together and get rowdy at one of the brewery's (Lost Coast, Humbrews, Redwood Curtain or Six Rivers). Anyone have any preferences?

Lost Cost is close to the meeting.  What happened to the clam beach and bonfire?

Bonfire sounds good maybe after the beers on clam beach or just skip the $4 beer and just drink them on the beach with the fire.
Any one camping that night.
