MBK Derby coming up quick!

I'm hoping someone will win this derby with a nice WSB or salmon.  Wouldn't that be awesome!

that would be a proud 13 year old by a few months.  That yak has seen a lot of use.  Just about every weather permitting weekend for 3 years.

It's been a pleasure watching Nathan grow up and become a great angler and fine young man over the last 3 years. The only problem is that Nathan's skill and innovation will eclipse us within a year or two. Kind of scary to see what the next generation of kayak anglers will achieve but I am sure Nathan will be on the leading edge.

Im going to miss this one Scallen. Sorry. It falls on the same date as our annual family trip to Wrigts Lake in the sierras. I hope you all have fun and catch huge fish. God Bless Aaron. I know he will be watching so look out for tips from above fellas.

So bummed I'm not going to make this event. It's my sister-in-law's birthday. I missed her sons 4th birthday party for the PIF event so I have to make it to this party. My wife said if I REALLY wanted to do the tournament I could, but I know this was only a trap. My WAF would instantly go negative if I fell for that one. Not worth the grief I would get down the road.

I stopped by MBK on my way home from work today. They had my name on a nice T-13. That must be the one they want me to take home Saturday  It looked like it was painted on there so sorry shark bait your Eraser may not work.  I'm looking forward to seeing y'all and enjoying the day fishing. I know it will be fun no matter what.

Better bring your A game after that smack talk.  The Sur crew will ALL be there in honor of Aaron and I am not in the top 3 of that crew as far as angling skill.  BTW, thanks for being there at Aaron's memorial.

Just trying to motivate a little more attendance and camaraderie for this great event. I mean NO disrespect to anyone! I haven't been out all year and am nursing 2 blown disks in my back I will be moving slow and easy. The odds may be against me, but I won't be alone out there. o mamogosnon mine mnado nmadji  . Ben it was good to see you and the other NCKA members in aptos to honor Aaron and his family. Aaron was and will always be a true friend to me. He is missed in my life. In honor of my departed brother, my intent is to go out and enjoy a good day of fishing....... and to give all you really good anglers a run for your money  I'm looking forward to seeing those I know and meeting many more. It will be a fun day!
