I just got on the phone with Eric here are the Options,

20 Oaks Cottage has a few options if you rented a cottage they will allow you to camp on their area.. I was told they have a very wide open area..

20 Oaks Cottage/Camping, Pretty Decent pricewise..

http://www.20oakscottages.com/

Edgewater FYI, 2 Person per Campsite $35, $5 additional Person MAX 5 I just talk to Laura unfortunately they dont do deals on group or whatsoever..

http://edgewaterresort.net/rates.html#houses

Otherwise its individual Reservation!

1. This would be worst case scenario for me.  I mean part of the fun of NCKA is hanging out with the crew.
2. This is more than I thought but would be willing to pay for it.  This would be my second option.
3. Not sure that I understand option 3.  Is 20 cottages More a campsite?

I am going to make it a DAY TRIP........camping at state park was the reason i wanted to go a day earlier, but if no state park camping, then no camping for me. I do thank all of those who tried very hard to pull it all together, but a flooded camp is a flooded camp = mother nature and we love her dearly :smt002

So my next question would be, is the start/weigh-in location dependent upon where people decide to camp?  Or are we going to just designate a place to have the start/weigh-in and everybody fends for themselves with the camping?

As it looks right now, if the start/weigh-in remains at State Park, I'll probably go with Edgewater as it's MUCH closer and time is everything in a tournament.  But if the location was moved to 20 Oaks Cottages, I'd camp there.

I have a hard time believing that these are the only 2 facilities that will accommodate a group of our size.  Is everything else also underwater?  Maybe it's time to contact Terry/Hydrospyder.

So what I'm hearing is that you'd be willing to change the venue if we can find affordable camping that will accommodate the entire group?  If so, I like that.

Another cost to consider is I think there is a 8$ fee for parking at CLSP if your not camping.  There was another place to put in just before you get to CLSP, but I forget the name of it.  Think it was free?  Dont recall any pay station at least.  Had restrooms, launch, large area for picknick type things.  It's located here: (zoom out one to see B)

The water around here goes down quicker than most would think, I wouldn't count out the state park just yet.
If you guys do go to 20 Oaks, lock your trucks and Yaks up. Its a little rough on that side of the pond. :smt009

Their is a big campground in Scots Valley, called Kellys. Its about 30 minutes from Lakeport 707-263-5754.

I've kind of secretly been hoping that this was the case.  I much prefer to camp at SP; I guess time will tell.

I also realize the need to secure something for those that want to come also so it's not like we can wait around and hope.

I stayed at Edgewater twice last year. Once with Craig & John and went back with just me & my wife. You can catch quality fish right in front or fish on up to the State Park because it's not that far as long as the North wind's not blowing too bad.

You must be refering to County Park(Lakeport?).....it is FREE and about 10 min. north of StatePark.....closer to Fastop bait shop.
but i'm holding hope fr StateP. or even SaltyJim's idea.

How is Edgewater in terms of cleanliness vis a vis State Park.  It sounds like they have enough room to accommodate but would we be spread out or is there the possibility to congregate in an area?

Free is nice at County Park but based on previous posts in years past, it doesn't sound like it is as clean.
