We went for a walk at the state park todayand found that the campground is closed.
The canal side of the CG seems worse off than the lake side but the event area is clear.

We wont be participating in the event this year but we can help with flood updates when we make it over there.

No Problem - Just bring a floating air mattress if you are planning on camping :smt044

Terry,
Really whish you would show to defend your title, but understand your situation.
I will be getting in contact with you for some local intel.

If this is the situation than we will probably look at Kelsy Greek
I'll wait till the week before to make the final decision
Darius and Terry thanks for the updates and please keep me posted.

See Ya There,

Thank you for understanding Eric. I would have enjoyed trying to repeat on my home waters and seeing my friends. circumstances will keep us from any events.
Still, Ill do what I can to help out with this one so feel free to contact anytime.

Have you considered M&M campground? I know the float tube posse has used it in the past.
I hope that the water backs off the State park by tourney time but when I crossed Kelsey creek this morning it was even bigger than it was yesterday and more rain is expected.

As far as bed fishing goes?  I really doubt that they will move up by then but stranger things have happend.
Wintertime tactics will probably still be in effect. Rip and swim would be my suggestions.

The Team Bridgeport crew doesnt plan our lake county event in any month with an R in it.
Might be a good rule of thumb to consider for future YH events too.

Another option might be the Edgewater Resort.  It's located directly across Soda Bay from the State Park.  They have a nice campground that could accomodate our group, clean bathrooms, and would likely have openings unless there was some special event already scheduled. It's an easy paddle north across Soda Bay to the State Park if folks want to fish that area.

I, too, am bummed you won't be able to make it Terry!  Hope everything is OK on the homefront.  Good man taking care of the important issues.

I can feel it, the weather will be spectacular this year!  The water level may be high and who knows about the fishing, but the weather will be glorious. :smt002   At least that is what I will keep telling myself.
