There are existing teams from last year that will likely carry over.  Other teams will form over the coming weeks.  Some teams will form the day of the tournament.

I hung with Brandi and her guest.  I think Greg hung with his cohorts from work.  It's very informal.  Many people failed to launch with their teams, but no penalties were levied...

Eric, what is the 'max' # of anglers for the event? I want to come up but I probably won't know for a while because D-36 scheduled an enduro on that weekend again this year. jim

I'd like to come this year, can I use my tent trailer at the camp? Also, I'm a fellow newbie and would be looking for a team. I have my safety gear, but haven't fished the ocean yet; mostly the sac river and delta. Any help would be appreciated.

IMO, this event is a great opportunity for newbies to find their sea legs. The launch is super protected and there will be a hundred other kayakers there ready to lend you a hand. Make sure you have the proper safety gear. Even if the weather is nasty, you can still safely fish the cove.

Saltydog, it doesn't matter if a 1000 people show up. There will always be a place for you.

G-wiz.  You are welcome to fish with my team.  Last year we were Team Homebrew but I fish all year with the Loose Screw Team.  I'm not sure which group I will fish with this year but you are welcome to join.

I'm planning to come to Shelter cove this year. I have all the necessary fishing gear, a Trident 13, wet suit, PDF, VHF radio, horn, and compass. What else should I bring to be safe on the water?

You should search the site to find and review one or more of the numerous threads about this - sounds like you have the basic necessities.

I'm glad you're coming!   :smt001
