Shelter Cove Motor Inn (707-986-7521) on Wave Drive, has ocean-front units with a view..
Shelter Cove Beachcomber Inn (707-986-7733) has units with brass beds, fireplaces, stoves and kitchens on Shelter Cove Rd.

Mario's Marina (707-986-7432) has a nine-unit motel in addition to trailer units with kitchens beside the marina that services sport fishermen with gas, supplies and bait.

CampingPeople with trailers and RVs head for the Shelter Cove Campground (707-986-7474) which has 100 serviced sites.

I'm on edge waiting for the tourney. Luckily I have steelhead an  hiking/scouting trips to keep me occupied till then

That's awesome, Eric - how old is he?  I want to get my son out there with me, but it'll probably be a few years.   

He's 14 and unfortunatley he is more into Bikes than he is to Fishing
But at least he isn't sitting around the TV playing Video games all day.
Hopefully the quality of the fishing will re-spark his intrest in yakfishing.
